They really got the Giants. We sucked but wow...my ratings in ( )
Cruz 87 (90) Jackson got a 90 there is no way he is better than Cruz. Deep threat maybe but, no.

Jpp 87 (90) yea he's struggled the last 2 years mainly because of his back but people like Hatcher and Cole should not be rated above him

Eli 81 (85) you mean to tell me tony romo is 10 points better than Eli? Nick Foles 88?

Antrel rolle 86 (92-93) HE was the best safety outside of Chanceller and Thomas last year, he also made the pro bowl and many publications have him ranked top 5 in the league. Complete B.s.

Jon beason 79 (85) he was an impact player. He played above average football and though he's not the player he use to be, a 79 is just plain pathetic.

Now all the other giants ratings i can agree with because were not good. But the rating system need to be revamped.

My only real homer complaint is that Robert Woods looks really underrated. I understand he was hurt parts of last year, but when he was on the field he performed quite well.

They were an absolute sieve last year. Now way they are better on D. They should switch ratings with the Redskins and thats coming from a Giants fan. I think the Giants are rated too low too but, they have stuff to prove to people. They have upgraded every single position pretty much. Some positions by a lot. Especially the secondary and linebacker. WOW, just wow.
But Walter Thurmond is a 77? I bet you if he was still playing for the Seahawks he would an 87 and he suppose to be o e of the top nickel cb's in the game.

Mark Sanchez has a 73 Spectacular Catch rating.

¿Que?

# 47 Cavicchi @ 08/05/14 07:10 PM
I don't know, looks wacky to me, Kelce with Run Block at 95 and Pass Block at 85 but has Strength at just 77. Now that makes me wonder who this guy is blocking.

Hopefully you're wrong. If not, we've finally proved that Donny Moore has completely given up and ratings are completely arbitrary.

My assumption is that either there was a typo in the game file, or the person responsible for this spread sheet made a typo. If you look at the ratings, everything looks normal but then all of a sudden there is a 73. Maybe a 37 instead?

Also if Ryan Tannehill doesn't work at QB, try him at wr with a 78 Spc and 70CIT

Giants...no one rated a 90. No one above an 87. EA you mean to tell me no one on The New York Freaking Giants deserves a 90 or above rating? These ratings are all over the place and dont make sense. Terrible...just terrible.

Is there some footage in an archive somewhere of either of these guys making a crazy one handed catch on a trick play or something?

Their best players are JPP and Eli were their best shots, and they had down seasons. . . Their WRs don't deserve it, no one else on that D deserves it.

When the Jets were on Hard Knocks they showed some clips of him making one handed catches. Might be where it stems from. Either way it's inconsequential.

Actually found the clip on YouTube:

I agree it is inconsequential as far as gameplay goes, but I think it is somewhat worth taking note of considering so many ratings (namely, speed) don't match up to anything realistic or scientific yet QBs are getting catch ratings. Not a big deal, regardless, just another question regarding the EA ratings.

Yeah. My guess is that it isn't anything new. His spectacular catch could have been changed the week after that Hard Knocks episode air and has just been an afterthought since then.

Edit: Just checked Madden 25 ratings and he has a 73 rating in that as well. Same goes for Madden 13. Couldn't find Madden 12 but Madden 11 has him at 15.

Looking at Tony Romo's ratings, his overall athleticism seems to give him a boost. His awareness and injury ratings are a bit high. His accuracy ratings might be off but that is debatable.

Manning is rated like he is meant for a West Coast system. Can't really throw medium or deep and can't run play action. Quick reads, and three step drops it is. His lack of athleticism doesn't help.

I suppose the rating systems inability to represent actual accuracy versus bad decision making really gives Foles a boost. His accuracy ratings are very good, combined with his Play Action all a CFM player needs to do is get that 77 Throw on the run Rating up and you have a damn good QB. The guy has a 77 awareness rating and is still and 88. Think about that.

Looking at the current ratings, Nick Foles might be the second best rated QB in the game. The consistency of his accuracy ratings, are second only to Rodgers from what I can tell, and his play action and throw power make him a serious weapon, especially in CFM where you could boost his throw on the run and deep ball accuracy (or awareness if you want to simulate games).

Jpp, Cruz and Rolle atleast should be a 90-92 with DRC and Amukamara High 80's.

Only player I feel that is underrated for Dallas is Terrence Williams. Had a great rookie season, hopefully after a couple weeks he will see a raise in his ratings. Broke a few records last year as a Dallas rookie WR. As a Dallas fan im also quite puzzled as to why Griffins deep ball is so low.
