Madden NFL 15 News Post

EA Sports has just revealed the top middle linebackers in Madden NFL 15. New screenshots can be seen here.

Patrick Willis - Overall 96
Novorro Bowman - Overall 96
Luke Kuechly - Overall 94
Derrick Johnson - Overall 91
Jerod Mayo - Overall 91

The schedule doesn't show when they will release OLB's, so we can only assume they are released later today or simply released when full player ratings are revealed for each division.

Here is a look at the release date schedule for the remaining ratings.

Player models look excellent this year.

Per the ratings hub on the Madden 15 website, these are just the top 5 middle linebackers; apparently the top 5 outside linebackers will be released separately.

Is this just MLB?? Where's Von Miller? Lavonte David?

Edit: Nvm just read CM Hooe's post. Oops.

I'm glad Bowman is up at the top, I thought he was the best defensive player in the NFL last year.

Like CM said, per the Madden ratings hub , this is only MLBs. OLB will be a seperate release.

It's pretty obvious to me that this list is missing players classified as OLBs.

There's no Clay Matthews, no Von Miller, no Robert Mathis, no Tamba Hail, no Justin Houston, no Lavonte David... whoever you have up there personally, any of those guys are likely better than OVR 91.

Further, EA Sports' page explicitly says Mayo is one of the top 5 MLBs. He's a MLB in Madden.

So I wonder if OLB will be eleased today also or is the schedule wrong ?

I think he's projected to move back inside with Spikes gone.

With Spikes leaving, Mayo will be moving inside.

I always thought Mayo was underrated in the NFL.
With that said surprised he was in the top 5 especially after being hurt last year.

im just not a fan of mayo call me bias or what not but i just dont like him

not a bad list tho

i would suspect bowman to drop during the season because i dont see him returning to 2013-14 form

Anyhoo, Mayo is still not proven to be better than: Dansby, Freeman, Dqwel, Wagner, Cushing, Butler Meyaluga, Daryl Washington (off suspension).

Hell, Spikes can be rated a 91 at the position.

I actually like how they differentiated b/w Bowman and Willis.

I watched a full season of game tape on SF a couple years ago w/Sunday Ticket, and you could tell that Bowman plays way faster than his 40 time suggests because he makes amazingly quick reads and takes near-perfect angles. That allows him to beat Willis to plays they have a roughly equal shot at making despite Willis's far superior speed.

Looking good!

Same here. Thought I'd see Vince or Logan before I'd see Mayo on these lists.
