Nice to see Manziel not on there. Ratings are still way too high though.

Legitimately shocked Manziel didn't somehow make it into this list. And I liked that Clowney was only an 83 as the top rated rookie. Hopefully, they'll release team-by-team now like they used to but I'm guessing they do a top-10 at each position like they've been doing.

Maybe I'm a skeptic, but I refuse to believe that a rookie can just walk into the league and be among the best in the NFL in anything.

I definitely am gonna use the Rams. That d-line is going to be insane.

Evans is gonna be a beast for TB as well

Lol. Looks like the terrible/way to high ratings system in Madden continues. Why bother trying to make a game sim when the ratings are anything but sim? SMH

I think some rare talents can come in and have near elite level talent relatively speaking right away, but it's a rare case and none of these rookies have proven anything and definitely do not deserve to be rated in the top 3 of their positions in the base rosters.

Gonna be a treat to build this Jets D up with Rich, Wilk and Snacks on the D-Line and Milliner and Pryor in the back end

Brotles is way to high. I was think 74 max.

# 12 DeuceDouglas @ 07/21/14 07:26 PM
Lol at Taylor Lewan. 6'7" 215 lbs.

# 13 Packers4U @ 07/21/14 07:27 PM
Hmmm. Video states HHCD has 85 speed yet EA site states he has 90 speed. Which one is it?

Quote:
HAHA CLINTON-DIX (79)
GREEN BAY PACKERS S
6'1, 208 POUNDS

Moore on Clinton-Dix: HHCD is good at everything, great at nothing. Solid in Zone Coverage (84) and can make plays with that 74 Catch rating and 90 Speed.

.... Whoops.

Guessing that'll be fixed in an update, but since H/W don't really mean anything in Madden I guess he wouldn't play any differently.

Ratings are too high.

I see myself doing what I do most years and lowering quite a few rookies. And just like every other year, I will cook up some lame justification as to why no Ravens need to be lowered.

Feels good to be a homer :P

Exciting!

Feel a little miffed that you can click the video showing footage of manziel and Bridgewater that says "more ratings" but when you click on it you get the same ratings in the video, and there's no actual second video.

Not cool!!

And they don't need to be. If anything I thought CJ Mosley would be on the list with a tie with someone. But he's not even on the list. If I'm watching College Football it's hard for me to believe (and I'm not taking anything away from these guys) Bortles, Martin, and even Clinton Dix is going to get mentioned before Mosley. But it's whatever.

Physically, yes. It happens. Dri Archer is easily the fastest player in the NFL right now, and the data proves it.

However, when it comes to technical skill like PMV, MCV, CTH, etc, there should NEVER be a player rated that high as a rookie in ANY of those categories. Their OVR ratings should never be that high as well, and once again, I have data that illustrates that.

Rookies should be RAW. They should have the physical skills the data indicates, regardless of their youth and vitality, but also should show their age (and lack of experience) when it comes to employing technical skills that have to be learned and mastered before being successful.
