Madden NFL 15 News Post

With Madden NFL 15 only a couple of months away, and E3 in the rear view mirror, let's look ahead at the who will be the most exciting teams to use come August 26th! As you read this list, understand that this is Madden specific, and not any kind of prediction or opinion about any of the real-life NFL franchises or teams.

Success in Madden has traditionally come down to highly rated players at skill positions on offense and defense. In Madden NFL, the game has often felt like both the offensive and defensive lines were afterthoughts. This is especially true with interior linemen, who existed only to field an authentic number of players on the field. Quarterback has been the most important key to success for a long time in Madden, with running back, and wide receiver/tight end rounding out the “must have” positions. Let's hope that all of the talk about the defensive side of the ball actually comes to fruition this year.

Can't argue with the Chiefs being 30th although that's the team I will use should I choose to buy the game. I will take issue with the statement in their paragraph about their defense being tough this year. Really? Did you see the playoff game with the Colts last year? The secondary is terrible and is now worse with the release of their best cornerback. Berry can't cover everyone by himself.

I have no idea who to be this year.

I cant wait to tear apart the Chargers...I HATE Rivers, don't like Mathews and the defense has no one that fits my scheme. The only player I plan to keep is Keenan Allen and thats not even gauranteed

Detroit Lions. If coverage is fixed for sure They would be an easy team to fix in franchise mode. Front seven is very good, offensive line is well above average, backs and receivers are very good, and they already have a QB that is still young and can work on his accuracy. They also have a solid young punter, but really need a stand out kicker like Jason Hanson was.

I could see the Rams being fun to use. I might do an offline CFM with them

Good piece. Nice, quick summary of all 32 teams.
Lions being ranked No. 4 is a further indictment on what an utter disaster Jim Schwartz was as an NFL head coach.
I like playing a franchise with a variety of teams, playing the best matchups each week. Not sure if you're able to do that anymore in Madden since I haven't played since Madden 12. If not, I'll probably play as the Patriots and rock those throwbacks a few times.

Really intrigued by the Vikes...can lean on AP while Bridgewater matures and won't have to ask him to do much, fun division too.

Buffalo is catching my eye though too...

Definitely excited to use the Bills.

Strategically speaking on offense there is:
Sammy Watkins who can score from anywhere on any play
Mike Williams is a big red zone threat
Robert Woods is the reliable route runner and chain mover
Marquise Goodwin is the track star and field stretcher (as is TJ Graham if he makes the team)
Buffalo is 4 deep at halfback with Spiller, Freddy Jackson, Bryce Brown, and Anthony "Boobie" Dixon

And for those who say "Forget strategy!":
EJ Manuel is a mobile QB with a strong arm
Sammy, Marquise, Spiller, Bryce, and TJ are all fast. Very fast.

Of course on defense Buffalo has a top 3 defensive line featuring 3 pro bowlers (Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, Marcell Dareus) and Jerry Hughes who had 10 sacks last season. On Madden you can plug in Kiko Alonso next to Brandon Spikes at linebacker. Buffalo is 4 deep at corner with Gilmore, McKelvin, Corey Graham, and Nickel Robey along with Aaron Williams who broke out in his first year at the safety position.

The pieces are in place to have a ton of fun spreading defenses out on offense and getting playmakers the ball and then on defense wreaking havoc on opposing quarterbacks and forcing turnovers. So with that said, vote for Buffalo '14!!!
