We have our answer on whether 'Re-Decision 2014' is a thing, with Lebron James opting to test the waters of free agency instead of sticking with the Heat, at least on his current contractual terms.

James could still end up with the Heat, but he could also end up anywhere as a Free Agent as well. His top options appear to be places like Houston, Chicago, or even Cleveland.

Of course, his best option may still to just stay in Miami and try to win it all again with an improved cast.

Sound off: What uniform will Lebron James be wearing while playing basketball next year?

So, my best friend lives right outside of Cleveland/Akron with his brother. His bro told me that some news leaked around the area about LeBron's kids being re-enlisted in the Akron school system. And also, apparently LeBron's mother bought season tickets to Cavs games for next season. Legit info? Can't be too sure. I would think it'd be all over ESPN by now. But I don't know. That's just what he told me a few minutes ago so maybe it hasn't really gone viral yet.

Honestly, I think Lebron would be deadly with the Clippers but I don't see that happenng. I think Lebron should get Kevin Love's phone number and the two of them need to stay in touch and go somewhere together.

Crazy how LeBron opting out is being blown waaaaay out of proportion.

Melo opts out and everyone's like, Melo to the _____ !!!
LeBron opts out and the whole of social media is like, "omg he shows no loyalty" blah blah ... I mean c'mon, was this really a surprise move?

It's times like these that this forum is the only place I can keep my sanity without face palming myself to death.

Wade is someone I can totally see not seeing how terrible he was in the finals and still thinks he deserves a max deal

It's funny I was talking to a friend and we both came up with the same thoughts you did.

Think about it...
I know if I was Wade I'd have to think long and hard about opting out...it's not like Miami has to resign him, their main goal is keeping LeBron above anyone else.

if wade doesnt opt out they wont have money for lebron, unless he takes MASSIVE paycut, and then whos gonna fill the other roster spots, a bunch of $700k d leagers?

1-Miami if Pat Riley brings a good game plan to the table.
2-Chicago, he stays East Coast and has a great team to play with. Melo could follow..
3-NY for some reason if Melo stays (which I doubt..) they team up together with the Zen Master.
4-Cleveland.. "What's so special about Cleveland..??" -J Noah yeah what he said but who knows with Kyrie and some other pieces he might consider coming home. But who'd want to go back there after what their fans and owner did?
5-LA (Lakers) King James with Melo assisting the Black Mamba? Might be scary but could also be a reenactment of when Dwight, Nash, etc came into town..

1. The most plausible, but if D-Wade and Bosh don't opt out then it might not be.
2. Salary cap wouldn't allow Melo to follow
3. NY has no money
4. Only have a shot because of the narrative, otherwise I don't see them being realistic
5. Darkhorse, yet the only team who can pair Melo and Bron outside of Miami having all 3 opt out and have Carmelo replace Bosh. Seems like the longest shot, but also seems like the only legit shot LeBron and Melo will ever have of playing with one another outside of Riley pulling a 2010 again. Kobe is already good friends with Carmelo and LeBron.

Tbh, I think Riley pulls some more voodoo and convinces Wade to cough up money and kicks Bosh to the curb to sign Carmelo.

If I were the T'Wolves, I'd rather trade Love for the #1 pick rather than any other picks beyond #3. That would literally be the best deal they can get- even better than if the Warriors offered Klay.
