is that defensive player cam optional or can you switch it back to regular?

Optional. Can play with the traditional cam.

Not sure, there's a thread in the other football forum. Not suppose to discuss in Madden forum.

Just going by what the mods have warned us on.

I must admit based off of these videos alone(maybe they can make some changes but madden doesnt have a history of making better changes before the game comes out after E3), im not feeling this...No gang tackles, the running, the throwing...Im so confused......Im probably going to get the game to contribute to the first day sales and then trade it in but I been saying since sept that there is no excuse.....for the running game, the holes are too big still...in real football, the line on running plays suppose to be crowded to the point where you almost cant see the RB, the running still are seriously the same....The infinity engine is not right for football...They need that eco motion engine or something.....Please EA pull the rabbit out the bag for this one cause no college football already sucks

I'm different than the rest and can excuse Madden's shortcomings. 1 it's a video game and as i've gotten older I just want a game with fun factor that I can play Online Franchise with friends. Beyond that the presentation is the exact same thing as CBS which is a big plus. Graphics look great and D looks fun. My negatives are the players running animation and I haven't seen 1 flag in all these videos of gameplay

Looks like no scoring summaries yet again. Ncaa has always had it. I want to know how many plays and yards it took to score.

It's a fresh coat of paint. Some new animations. But the skeleton is deformed. Until you start from scratch, it's gonna continue to be a flawed game.

But Madden sells a ton every year, so why fix what people will accept even if it's clearly broken?

*sigh*

So what percentage of us on here is still going to buy the game?..............at 90% i bet cause we like sports games but love football games.....Im sorry, this footage does not say next gen to me at all.....Is it because im seeing the same animations or same type of running.......or are we so used to and has accepted a medicore game internally

I've followed madden every year, and the first footage they show at e3 people complain that they are using last years animations, they don't see any new animations.

Then by the time the game is released, you see a lot of new animations that you didn't see in the first footage showed.

For the first footage being shown, this looks a lot more advanced with new things than in years past.

I remember last year, the e3 footage didn't have QB signature throws in yet, and people here thought they were taken out. When in fact, they just didn't get around to adding it to that particular build yet.

The good player models and colors looke great IMO. The celebrations also looked awesome.

The bad... Tackling and animations. This is an alpha though so hopefully these things can be fixed before release.

Man I don't know if I can do this anymore. After hearing the interview on Press Row Podcast from Rex I was really looking forward to seeing some gameplay videos that would give me something to be really excited about.

But, now that we find out true step only works for user controlled players, d-line steering o-line only happens with user controlled players, virtually no gang tackles etc. etc. I just can't get excited about this. I have a good group of guys that I play in an online CFM with and am really excited to play with them again and now on a next-gen system but I'm not terribly excited to actually play Madden. I just feel obligated to buy the game for my league and I'm not able to make a consciously moral decision with my economic vote so to speak.

It's Madden. I wasn't expecting a new engine, completely overhauled animations or totally different gameplay. It is what it is. That being said.... I LOVED what I saw. I loved the presentation, I loved the play calling analysis on screen, I loved the pre snap options, new cameras and improved animations. I'm in.

We gotta remember we are looking at a compressed nasty YT video that is running at 30fps. I heard in person its MUCH smoother in motion from my friends that played the demo at E3. They said the YT videos do the game a injustice.

Is there a confirmation from somewhere/someone that true step only works from user controlled players?

Here's an answer from Clint Oldenburg:

not all 22, but more than just the BC. Working on CPU AI for certain positions using it, like OL.

Next answer he said the future, not in Madden 15.

I'm getting real tired of all this information being thrown around from every corner of the internet and social media.

Not directed at you mmorg, but overall, in general.

Many sources.lol
