I like the presenetation pop-ups such as the down and distance strip.
The animation system for route running and runnig in general is still rigid looking.
I was also unpleased to see how OP screen blocking is: those linemen haul tail and blow up defenders in an arcade like way.
I really hope there is something more to the game that will appease me because I am becoming more and more turned off by the rigidity of their animations - the locomotion system needs fluidity on both sides of the ball for all 22.
This has been posted in the video thread since this morning. Original is actually from SportsGamerShow. I really don't want to give Sim any views since his view grabbing 2K tactic, but I've clicked this link in 2 different threads now thinking it was new. What a bummer.
Game looks new and fresh - which is great. Lots of new overlays to make it seem NEW but familiar. I think playing on D with the new camera will be a lot of fun.
So funny he called out that synchronized animation at the end because that stuff really bugs me...lol. I don't see really any team effort to take down the ball carrier and when the play is over defensive players either turn their back or start running away to the huddle/locker room and that just gives the game that lost cattle feel which I despise.
I'm starting to get fed up with some of these post-play camera angles. 0:49 to 0:58...where are these being shot from, some strange camera hovering over the field? It's more noticeable than ever, because they're actually starting to use some good angles. That whole sequence from 2:10 to 2:29 looked pretty slick, maybe not perfect, but it actually gave some sense of broadcast presentation. Love how they show Heath celebrating in slow-mo (similar to FIFA 14).
Gameplay looked...meh. Animations still look funky, but I'll have to see how it plays on slower game speed.
Gotta say, I liked a lot of what I saw. Certainly some "same old Madden" moments (really wish there was more noticeable and consistent planting and weight transfer when changing direction-about :42 into the vid we get that awful zigzag running), but things do look a lot smoother overall.
I can't compare it to 25 (I skipped it because I didn't trust them to deliver in the transition year), but after barely touching 13 and not playing 25 at all, I may just be back in once I get some news on how franchise (or connected careers or whatever else they're calling it now) moves forward. I'm certainly interested, at least.
Player models look quite decent I have to say. Still not there yet though.
The animations look the same which is the single biggest thing that will keep me from buying this game. I just can't do it anymore.
The biggest waste of a Mo-Cap facility there ever was and ever will be.
Presentation looks better, no doubt. Looks pretty good. The play where Garcon gets tackled and 2 Giants defenders do the exact same leap animation at the exact same time irks the hell out of me though. Particularly since it looked like neither really needed to do it at all.
-Frank Gore just run right up the linemans back without pushing off (thought this was supposed to fixed already)
-Still noticed some rag doll physics kicking in
Don't mean to belabor the point, but what exactly are they thinking with these animations. I have to watch it again to get the actual time, but there is a part where there is a screen pass and the runner makes a change in direction and instead of an animation where weight is redistributed, the runner just goes at, basically, a 45 degree angle to the ground and stays pretty much straight... Who signs off on this?

Uwotm8?!
Madden is built on a broken foundation. Lot's to fix.
