Keep in mind that the demo is probably at least a month old build. Tweaks and changes have happened since. If you don't like the demo, rent it when the game is released.

New UFC demos are always so great. I remember when the original UFC Undisputed demo came out, played that nearly non stop until it was released.

And now we have new hardware to play it on, so that will make even more amazing.

Between MLB, Watch Dogs, Wildstar head start access on Saturday, and this demo on Tuesday.....not to mention I just started my summer vacation (I work in public school system), gaming heaven.

As expected, but I am hyped to get this game. Fails in comparison to the FN Champion Demo though, had Pac/Cotto, and Tyson/Ali while also being allowed to fight 3 rounds online. That was the greatest demo ever, even better then where the final game ended up after all the patches in my opinion.

The 2009 demo was great. It seemed to have the perfect balance with fight lengths and flash knockouts as well, but then they changed it for the full game.

I'll be honest I'd watched one UFC event up until that point but that demo alone us the reason I watch nearly every event 5 years later

It was pretty awesome to see not only the games, but the sport of MMA itself evolve from the PS2 into the PS3/360 generation. Undisputed 2009 was such an awesome game and I even played Undisputed 3 right up to the time I got my PS4. This one is sold on me but I'm definitely going to let the demo help make up my mind. Although I'm already preparing for a day one buy!

That won't stop it from being the best looking, and possibly playing MMA game we have seen. How about we wait till we get our hands on a demo on the 3rd before we say this game is gonna be a colossal failure like NBA elite 11.
Well this wasn't 3 1/2 years ago:

Again... I'm hyped for the game and by all accounts it sounds like a winner... just making the point there's no correlation between EA Sports releasing a demo for a game and the company's confidence in said game (unless they're delusional).

it wasn't a great game, But dispite its flaws, it actually did some things right. I think floor spacing and court size in comparison to the players is spot on. I think in 2k either the player are too big, or the court is too small, and something is screwing up floor spacing. Dribble moves feel more fluid in Live. Now the game has a ton of faults as well, and those are well documented and no need to get into that.

But lets go with a more important fact here. Despite being the same publisher, in EA, the games were made out of 2 entirely different development studios with 2 entirely different teams working on them. If you want to really make a true comparison, Compare it to Fight Night Champion, which is for the most part the same team that worked on this game. Now I have my own criticisms of Fight night Champion, but all in all it was a very good game, Not a spectacular game, but Very good. I wish stamina was more "valuable" so to speak, that throw ing more cost you more stamina to keep punch counts a bit lower. Also I feel the Fight night champion team did not fully understand countering. In FNC the only time you could counter was off a side step, sway, or parry (perfect block), If someone punched from out of range and you clocked them before the hands reset, it never registered as a counter shot. If you timed your opponent coming in and caught them with a hook or straight as they were throwing mid punch, it did not register as a counter shot. These 2 situations are to of the most dangerous for someone eat a strike in, and in FNC they meant diddly squat. That is a legit criticism/worry. Because EA also published (which basically means funded, not developed) NBA elite 11, and NBA live 14, doesn't mean anything. None of the same guys worked on the games. On top of that, I am also willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, that those issues are fixed, until I see otherwise by playing for myself.

The timing of the release of the demo was the point not the fact that it was released at all. EA UFC's demo is coming out 2 weeks before release. You typically dont do that if you believe that people will hate the demo or that playing it will cause people to decide not to buy the game. Especially with the way people nitpick the **** out of games now.

NBA Live's demo was released a few days before official release but many stores were selling it the day the PS4 launched.

Understood... but chances are the Live 14 demo would have been out in advance of the game's release if not for it being on the new systems... that's just what EA Sports does most of the time (to their credit)... I realized they are different studios, but as a brand, I can't recall the last time EA Sports didn't put a demo out ahead of time (new consoles excluded)... even EA Sports MMA and the Grand Slam Tennis games had demos out ahead of time.

Bottom line is if the demo's out early in the morning I'm going to be late for work and there's a very strong chance I'll bring a system in to play it during lunch haha... logged an easy 100+ hours in all three of the Undisputed games... can't wait!

NBA Live is actually not that bad as some reviewers were saying .With the face scanning and more time to animate I'm actually looking Foward to 15. But why aren't u comparing this to fight night ? Aren't those developers working on this game ?

Really looking forward to this game. Enjoyed aspects of UFC 3 and EA MMA so I am anticipating a good game. Especially with the new generation consoles.
