Funny that they say the Orioles are the most popular team, the only teams I play with are the Orioles and the Athletics.

Am I the only one that was trying to divide that reported stats by 10 million games played? LOL!

Congratulations Sony SD! You deserve it!

Great news and well deserved for the best and most dedicated dev team in the business.

Now lets hope they get some more manpower for 15 so they don't have to sleep under their desks during crunch time

Congrats SCEA San Diego!
Can't wait where you guys take this series in the years to come.

I'm not an Orioles fan per se, but I play with them in my off-line franchise. I really like Camden and the Orioles uniforms.

Awesome job well deserved, now quadruple the server count

This is awesome and it's interesting how the Orioles are the most played team. I thought they would be the Dodgers, Angels or Braves.

Great news for the best sports game/development team out there year after year!

As expected the next-gen thirst is real, can't wait for NPD later today.

Longest home run 553 feet..... WHAAAT. Haha.

I did a quick HR derby with Stanton, Encarnacion, Wilin Rosario and Chris Davis just trying to test if you could hit longer homers this year. Longest I hit was 480. Might need to try again

I was CONVINCED in MLB 13 The Show that there was something written in the code limiting homers to around 498-499 feet since I could never hit one longer than that in hundreds and hundreds of games played and a few dozen HR derby's

Any devs who may be lurking, any way you could tell me what the longest HR hit on 13 was? lol. Or explain how the variance in HR distance works in the game

Also, it would be awesome if this increase in sales translated to an increase in budget

I've hit a few over 500 ft.

10 million games played but only 5 million hits is a little weird.

But all in all, this is great to hear. And not the least bit surprising. This is such an addictive game. I picked it up last night and have only had time to play a few innings but it's really hard to put down that controller.

I'm guessing that figure includes all the online games that have ended prematurely due to a disconnect/dashboard crash/system freeze/server error. Your game stats up to that point will still be recorded whenever that stuff happens.

The latency while batting and running the bases online also hurts the game's offensive numbers.

Probably will have to wait for May NPDs, so we won't know for another month. April NPD comes out today though so hopefully we get PS3 and Vita (lol) numbers.

I hit a 525 foot bomb win cano in mlb 12 but haven't cracked the 500 mark yet on 13 or 14

Good for SCEA and well deserved. They've stuck to their true simulation formula over the years and I'm glad to see them being rewarded for their hard work. I hope the success doesn't get to their head & entice them to go the NBA 2K route & forget what got them here lol.
