You don’t get repetition. With limited animation, I have an animation for hitting you straight on and I have one for hitting you at a 45-degree angle, but if you’re somewhere in between, I need to make a choice between animations. With physics, you can change the degree of the impact by one degree and you’re going to get a different reaction every single time depending on all the variables. It really adds unlimited variety.
...Now, when the puck is shot and hits the goalie, if it hits on the pads or chest protector or glove, you get a different reaction depending on speed and variables. We’re still in the development process but we’re already seeing things that we’ve never seen happen before. We’re seeing goalies try new desperation saves because the puck hits them and starts trickling across the goal line and they need to react to that.
...Now you’re going to have a puck that will hit a goalie under the arm and then squeak through between the cloth and the equipment that we have modelled there. Before, the equipment and the body were all just one entity. By separating out the layers, now we get this behaviour where the puck reacts with the cloth and the body and/or the equipment underneath it.
He did say in a podcast a couple of days ago that not all licensing is approved for all arenas. So hopefully he will nail that down certainly sounds like they are?
yay another year of the Boston Bruins arena!!!!!!!!
Nah man I wouldn't say bottom. "(MLB,NBA,FIFA,Madden,NHL)"- NHL is more fun to play and definitely takes less time to have a hell of a game compared to those listed except FIFA the games are obviously shorter. Yeah those games are great and definitely have more to offer than NHL but still who wants to play 9 innings twice in a row than two battles in NHL. You tell me.
I would. I can't tell you the last time I touched NHL 14 but The Show hasn't left my PS4 since I've had it.
Also, I've played my 360 - Titanfall and Skyrim still get regular use, but NHL just sits in its case because I remember how dull and boring the game is. It's the same thing every time.

Although I did not buy 14 because I knew its still garbage...just like all the games that came out after 09....NHL should not be dull and boring. The ONLY reason why its DULL and BORING is because of EA developing team. All the teams play the same and likewise players.
If this game is just another upgrade...with a new presentation (NBC) but fails in gameplay...I REALLY HOPE EA FIRE THIS RAMJ...he's a disgrace.

Preaching to the choir man. I hope 15 doesn't need an NHL 15 revamped because as good as the Revamped project was it was like putting a band-aid on a mortar wound.

I don't get why they do that. Why not make it like FIFA where you can rename a place since most of the real life places aren't even in the game. For NHL games, if they can't have the arena name in the game ,just put the team name on the ice. I'd rather see "Chicago Blackhawks" around center ice than "Chicago Stadium" and "New York Rangers" instead of "New York Arena" and stuff like that.
TD Garden is in 14 if I'm not mistaken. I agree that the arenas without their real names should just have the team name on center ice, like they did for the Rangers in 14.

Not 100% sure because I always skip the intros. Have since like 2011 since they're relatively the same.
