I wonder how well Oshie will do because of the Olympics...

# 3 Shaffer26 @ 05/05/14 01:59 PM
What a horrible group of candidates, well, besides Oshie.

# 4 Rs31632 @ 05/05/14 02:20 PM
Vote Subban!!

# 5 PPerfect_CJ @ 05/05/14 02:37 PM
I've gotta go with T.J. Sochii.

Cover voting is so stupid.

Yeah, pretty awful selection of players to choose from.

They're all outstanding players, but I don't see any of them being cover material.

# 8 Shakes @ 05/05/14 04:41 PM
Yea I am not feeling the cover athletes either. I am guessing Oshie over Subban In the finals (assuming that's where they would meet)

Lame. I want Duncan Keith. Yes, I know us Hawks fans have already seen Toews and Kane, but hey, we can't help that we have the best team in the league. We deserve it after the 15-year suck-fest that we endured.

"Im rooting for PK because of what he's been through racially"? is that a serious comment. Its 2014, its not Jackie Robsinson. PK Subban being called out on twitter by 15 year old butt hurt bruins fans, shouldn't even be a story.

What's up with no Blackhawks in the voting!

What is Logan Couture doing in this?

I get Duchene, Oshie, Karlsson, Subban, Bergeron, Doughty, even Kessel is ok, but Couture?

And yeah, I'll vote for Duchene and Subban, but I expect Oshie v. Subban in final.

Just pick the TED LINDSEY award winner as voted by the players, this player earned the bonus that comes with the cover.

It is a slap in the face to the original six to not have at least one candidate for a chance or how about picking select different covers for different regions. I like what they did last year in Toronto they had differnt covers for those who went to the launch parties. I know not every city would participate but cities like: Philly ,Pittsburgh, Chicago, New York, Boston, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, and of course Detroit. Might just plan a trip to get mine in Toronto this year.

Lol Oshie...his primary, and really only truly elite hockey skill is completely worthless when the hockey actually matters. Going to be annoying when his undeserving face is on the cover next year because idiots think he's a star.

Not saying he's a bad player. Great defensive forward, just not an elite offensive player and overall flat out not good enough to be in the cover discussion.

His GVT is heavily inflated by his shoot out numbers, take it away and he's around the 50th best player (very good, but not elite) instead of top 15.

The field as a whole is pretty underwhelming.

What a terrible pool to pick from. I guess I want Bergeron to win since hes the best player among them.

Overall, not a great list. But I couldn't care less who's on the cover. Doesn't make a difference to me.

I don't vote in these, but I'm hoping for...

ROUND 1

Kessel vs. Subban - Going with Subban. This ones really a toss up. Love Kessel, as he's a good ol' American boy, but I'd rather not see a Leaf on the cover haha.

Bergeron vs Karlsson - Another one that's really tough, as I love both players. Karlsson is one of my favorites in the league, but I'm tired of seeing red on every cover, so gotta go with my boy Bergy here.

Couture vs. Doughty - I have no idea why Couture is a candidate. Don't want his nasty rat face on the cover. Advantage Doughty.

Duchene vs. Oshie - I like him, but Oshie simply doesn't deserve it. You cannot deny, the only reason he's in the running is because of his Sochi shootout heroics. If we're really choosing the 'next generation' of players for the 'next generation' of hockey gaming, gotta go Duchene here. I get scared every time he's on the ice when Dallas plays the Avs.

ROUND 2

I'm assuming it will stay East vs. East and West vs. West

Subban vs. Bergeron - Bergeron all the way.

Doughty vs. Duchene - tough one as they're both young and amazing, but gotta give my vote to Duchene.

ROUND 3

Bergeron vs. Duchene - Really don't care who wins if this is the Finals. I'm happy either way.

How I think it will actually go...

Kessel vs. Subban - Subban
Bergeron vs. Karlsson - Karlsson
Couture vs. Doughty - Doughty
Duchene vs. Oshie - Oshie

Subban vs. Karlsson - Subban
Doughty vs. Oshie - Oshie

Subban vs. Oshie - Oshie

Again, I really couldn't care less who's on the cover as I will look at it once and then out it on my shelf.

# 18 Mikey88 @ 05/14/14 12:43 PM
Kessel all the way

# 19 gator3guy @ 05/15/14 11:18 PM
Karlsson. He's the man.
