That moment when The Show is the source that informs you that the Rangers' stadium has been renamed.

In all seriousness, that intro was incredible. I was ready to go grab my glove and run out on the field.

At 5:00, you can see what looks like a ball boy being being impaled by the stool he's supposed to be sitting on. Why he's near the on deck circle, I'm not sure...

Looks like they fixed the size of kids heads. Weird how Beltres photo on scoreboard doesn't update until after first pitch.

Completely unrealistic, looks awful. Where's the animation of Andrus messing with Beltre on that popup? Just kidding, that looks amazing. I've been holding out, but I think I need to go get a PS4 now...

This game is going to look so good in person. I mean, you can tell from the videos, but there's no comparison to the real deal. I remember kind of shrugging off FIFA videos and when I finally saw it on my TV... damn. And as much as I like FIFA, I think it's fair to say The Show is a step above when it comes to visuals.

As someone who cuts most cutscenes short, the dead air when showing player cutaways/lineups/etc is rather jarring. Karros needs to jump in there with some comments on the pitcher's repertoire, a defensive standout, the key part of the batting order... something. A commentator isn't going to be silent in those situations. Commentary content or repetition isn't a huge deal for me, but silence during those intro/cutscene moments is just so awkward (FIFA does this too). I guess that's part of the reason I only watch a second or two then skip ahead.

And to end on a positive note, I really like how the dynamic camera looks on ground balls, particularly that shot up the middle. Once again, with minimalist settings and in 1080/60...

Yep, exactly my thoughts.

Compressed YouTube vids never do these games justice, as you say, FIFA in person, five yards in front of you on your 50" 1080 tv looks absolutely great (especially playing in Broadcast cam) and miles better than any of its promo stuff did.

Ive no doubt when we see The Show with our own eyes at 1080 and 60fps our jaws are going to drop.

Looks like it. Sure would have been nice, but just another scene that would get repetitive and skipped after about game 100

I really thought we might get more than 3 player models this year on the PS4. There's a lot of small things I thought would be fixed, like the glove actually being closed when a ball is in the web (Yu Darvish in warmups). The game is pretty sharp though, even though everything looks the same but in 1080p...

I heard we only get a fly-in over the dalmatian in Turner Field

I'm not sure how to interpret fly-ins. I don't really care about them in particular, but according to either bayman or inhocmark (I forget who said it) they show shots outside the stadium. That's all I expected it to be.

For example, the scene described by PSNation in his PS4 preview of seeing the view of the city from Kauffman Stadium. That wasn't a fly-in, but it DOES add to the immersion. That is what I am curious about.

Ah, playing this game will be awesome!! But alass, I always will wonder just what I'm missing visually...

So much of the player movement looks so stilted and stiff. The hitting and fielding are as smooth as ever (when the ball arrives), but players running and throwing motions are wooden. It lacks all of the grace and power. Same as it ever was. Probably the biggest thing I was hoping to see improved on the PS4 version. Maybe next year.
