R.B.I. Baseball 14 News Post

MLB.com has revealed the first R.B.I. Baseball 14 videos with Adam Jones and Michael Wacha behind the sticks. Not a whole lot of gameplay is shown, but at least it's something.

If the embedded videos don't work for you, click here for video #1 and here for video #2.

As noted yesterday, the game will be available to download tomorrow for $19.99 on 360 and PS3 and $4.99 for iOS devices. We still have to wait for official release dates for the Android, PS4 and Xbox One.

Looks like they're staying very true to the speed of the 8 bit game, judging from those clips.

Agreed. It would be a nice distraction until the PS4 version of The Show.

Can we throw the spitball, and will we get warned and ejected the ump like in the Genesis versions of RBI.

There is a concern about the number of ground rule doubles...

This actually has less to do with the way the ball will bounce off the grass (which apparently is pretty high up), and more to do with the fielding camera.

Look at that first fly ball that was hit deep into the outfield in the trailer video. You barely have enough time to see your outfielder and react to where that ball is going to land. The person was very lucky to be able to catch that ball that time, otherwise it was probably just going to end up being another ground rule double.

My concern is that catching fly balls in this game will be difficult. The camera is too top-down and lags behind, plus I don't know if there is a fly ball landing cursor.

Interesting game, though. Not sure if I'll get it.

Has anyone seen if there will be a release for the PS Vita? It'd be so much nicer to play it there than on an iphone or ipad.

I was down on this game especially with few players and no stats but it does look fun.
