MLB 14 The Show News Post

It looks like their will be a trade-in offer at GameStop for MLB 14 The Show gamers that want to purchase the PS3 version and trade it in for the PS4 version. Just make sure you read the fine print.

It appears as though you have to be a PowerUp Rewards member. Will try to get more clarification. Will also try to find out if digital download gamers will get any sort of break.

Going to pass on this deal, but it's nice they offered some sort of deal.

Agreed. To me it's probably the best your going to find unless you sell the PS3 game yourself on eBay or maybe find a better trade in value

Give them credit for trying, but not worth it to me.

I'll enjoy Infamous Second Son until the proper PS4 version is out. PS3 doesn't hold the same allure any more. Traded in the old old girl...

Wish there could be some deal for us international players.

Dropping around $150 for the privilege to play the show.

Disappointed there's no Canadian equivalent for this deal. Call me a sucker or whatever, but I paid full boat for the PS3 and PS4 versions. It'd be really nice to get a break on the PS4 version (especially with it being $69.99 up here) but if the worst case scenario is I support a studio like SCEA San Diego by purchasing two copies? So be it. If any studio deserves it, it's these guys. All early impressions are that they hardly mailed in the PS3 version this year.

Besides, no WAY I could wait another 5 weeks to play this game, no matter the version.

It would be nice to get some official word on this for international buyers.

I know it will be available digitally for Ps3 in Europe. At the moment I am not going to buy the PS3 version but I absolutely will if I can upgrade to Ps4 in May.

Better they get $80 than $60 right?

Would save me a tonne on postage from Canada too.

Please SCEA help us far away fans out.

This may be enough to get me to purchase both.

This is all I was waiting on to get the PS3 version. I was planning on waiting it out because I'm not paying full price for the same game twice. I'll pay another $20 5 weeks from now. Sweet deal if you really want to get your league started on schedule since saves will carry over to PS4.

P.S. PowerUp rewards isn't anything special unless you trade games a lot and want to read a magazine but it comes in handy.... (like right now)

But it's free to be a member. The only "catch" I've heard so far is that someone said you need to have purchased the game from Gamestop, which would be a bummer for me.

I was burned by them on a deal and I was a free member. I think I was supposed to get more for my Madden trade in towards the Show 13' for my PS3... Its all good.

Technically there are two membership levels - Basic & Pro:
https://www.gamestop.com/PowerUpRewards/Home/Benefits

My local Gamestop tried to tell me that it was Pro only, but when I showed them the details they said it should (would?) have specified if Pro was necessary. 5 weeks is too damn long for me to wait, so I purchased it and reserved a PS4 copy.

Then again.. I've had so many awful experiences with GS, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they tried to force people into paying for Pro. That's how they operate. I contacted them on Twitter and didn't get a response.

I haven't received mine yet either. When I went in the lady was confused so I'm hoping within the next week or so we see that coupon come in

The Call of Duty offer ends in April. Also the lady at Gamestop for me said the game will have an approximate trade value of $35 due to their being a 30% trade bonus to a pre-ordered copy of PS4 MLB. I still have to trade in 13 as well so that still leaves around 20 bucks for an upgrade.

Just got my upgrade coupon in the email today.
