Check out the latest PS3 MLB 14 The Show gameplay video featuring the Washington Nationals vs. New York Yankees, showing off the new Quick Counts feature.
I honestly only have one constructive/negative thing to say. Everything looks great except one little thing that has bugged me for years.
I will hold down some of my disappointment because this is the PS3 version but the presentation on that Cano Home Run looks exactly the same as it has on the last few versions of MLB The Show now
I really hope it will be improved on the PS4 version. I have said this so many times but why wont Sony have the Home Run Stat overlay Box pop up while the camera is locked on the batter who just hit the Home Run either rounding the bases or crossing Home Plate? This is how it's almost always done on real TV broadcasts.
This is why screenshots do more harm than good with this game. Yes, an up close screenshot doesn't show nearly as much detail as other games. However, you can't see that detail in the course of normal gameplay. From a gameplay perspective, this is silky smooth and looks extremely life-like.

Anyway. One thing I noticed, and IDK if its just coincidence, but since its been asked in other threads, Werth did not barrel over the Catcher even though he had plenty of time to set up and knock him over.
I hate to be a buzz kill, but everything looks the same to me from 13. With exception of the new graphic lines and a few updated batting stances. Sorry.
What happened to Ellsbury fouled off the 3-2 then the next hitter was up?
