You’ve seen how real the fighters look before the fight starts, now witness them in action. Powered by EA SPORTS IGNITE, the next-generation of sports games has arrived, where athletes act and react with unparalleled realism. Watch all the athleticism, intensity and power come together in EA SPORTS UFC Gameplay Series: Feel the Fight now.

Looks good for their first gen, now current gen attempt at this. I may get this and I'm not a UFC fan, per se. Need to see more but definitely liked what was there.

Given the lack of sports-related games on next gen, this is a must-buy purchase. I can only play NBA 2k 14 for so long!

This. With UFC and The Show coming out I should be covered for a while sports game wise.

Looks very, very good. I'm very hyped for this game.

Meh. Wasn't that impressed with the little gameplay we saw. I still have high hopes though that this will be a good game.

About what I expect from a trailer like this. Glad to be seeing something. Looking forward to what an actual full match will look like. I'll be able to tell a lot more from that.

That goofy looking kick from Pettis and the suplex from Cain = no....just no.

The rest didn't look too bad though.

I've got to say that my expectations are getting lower and lower every time I see this game. As many have mentioned, there's no reason for real UFC fans to hope that this game will be a simulation, as seen in these videos. I hope I'm wrong but movement seemed to be robotic as in previous UFC games and the Cain slam was just

As I said, I hope I'm wrong and this game will be great but then again, it's EA....

Right, because those of us that thought the video looked good are not "real UFC fans."

It's a video game, not a simulator. There will be some sim aspects and then there will be some arcade aspects because it is, still, a video game. Fifa and The Show are very successful games, both of which play very good representations of their sports, but neither of them is a perfect "simulation" either. People expect way too much from a video games these days.

Some of you are crazy, lol! I was blown away by the video and will be getting this one day one. That's all! :-)

You know that the slam Cain did has happened numerous times in MMA, let alone the UFC right? You also know that Pettis has LITERALLY done that exact same kick in a WEC fight before right? I'm just saying

The suplex Cain does looks like one from pro wrestling...you don't see those in MMA so what are you talking about. You see Judo throws and occasionally a slam...NOT belly to back suplexes.

Also the kick Pettis threw in the WEC was a jumping one of the cage, not slipping a high kick into a spinning almost half cartwheel looking thing into a high kick...no not even close. That's something from Street Fighter, not what you'd see in a UFC fight.

Look I said outside of a couple of things that the game looks awesome and I still hold to that...I just don't want to see it flooded with BS arcade type flashy strikes or moves that are unrealistic just to appeal to the masses.

# 35 p_rushing @ 03/19/14 08:26 PM
I'm still wait and see mode and will stay that way until we see unedited gameplay video

# 36 CaliDude916 @ 03/19/14 08:30 PM
This game was already at the top of my list, and after watching this video, it proved why. Absolutely incredible.

That suplex definitely looked like a back suplex from wrestling, I'll agree with that. That being said, there have been some belly-to-back suplexes in the UFC in the past...just not quite the WWE style like that one. LOL

And I've seen some crazy cartwheel-looking kicks in the octagon as well, but I'm not sure I've seen many landed. I agree with you in hoping the crazier stuff like that doesn't happen all that often in this particular game. But like someone else said, this is just an action trailer. They want to make it as flashy as possible, and there will be some people drawn in by some of those crazy moves.

I think it looks great, and I know it won't be a perfect simulation of how the UFC really is. As long as it's a fun game with a solid career mode, I can definitely get by with having a few crazy moves here and there.

Pettis threw that kick as well. Also Randleman belly to back suplexed Fedor. But these are highlight real moves that rarely hapoen and should be difficult to land in game.

Have you ever watched the beginning of a UFC PPV? At the beginning of each PPV they have a vignette that shows all the major fighters who have been in the UFC and in that vignette you can see Dominick Cruz do one on Demetrious Johnson. Here is the link:

http://www.cagesideseats.com/2011/10...ous-johnson-in

Its a move that rarely happens but it has happened.

FYI, Pettis has thrown that kick in competition.

# 40 redsrule @ 03/19/14 09:09 PM
Didn't Pettis just use that kick in his win over Benson Henderson? Iirc, he did that and slipped and then Benson got on top of him which led to the armbar.

That kick in the video was on Aldo, so I guess he's one of the guys that we will be able to use up a weight class?
