You had Mark Cerny telling everybody that Sony gave out Dev kits of the PS4 to all the top studios in 2008,so I'm thinking great San Diego is one of sony's top studio(probably #2) we're going to see next gen baseball in March. Then you had Russell saying how they just broke through something graphically and how they were going to have to redo a bunch of the ps4 screen shots. Big disappointment on the release date for the ps4 version

Could still be a place holder though
I could see that date... Its around Memorial Day. Its first official start of Summer. The first big baseball holiday weekend. Everyone is thinking of baseball, barbecues, family and friends.

But it's not a Tuesday.

If they stick to the Tuesday tradition, it could be the 6th, 13th, 20th, or 27th.

Haha....they DID NOT have the PS4 dev kits in 2008.
Not a chance.
Mark Cerny is full of crap if he said that.

If the PS4 version has tanaka and abreu etc. in its default rosters, what do you think will happen to them if we DL the OSFM rosters - if they're started on and made on the PS3 version. Also, what do you think will happen to those players if I decide to move my season/franchise to a Vita? Just curious.

If you DL the OSFM roster. I imagine they will have a CAP of Tanaka & Abreu.

When they do the PS4 version they are going to port over players they need from the PS3 version. If Tanaka and Abreu are in the PS4 version they won't override them with a CAP

They are going on the assumption that they may make it into the on disc roster on PS4. Their hope is that if Tanaka and Abreu debut before the PS4 game is finalized than they may be on the default roster with player portrait. But then you have to think about all of the players that are making their debut opening day/week. Would they add none of them in, all of them, or just the "important" big ones like Tanaka and Abreu? Probably none, but who knows.

The roster usually locks for baseball games around January 15th. Any transactions that happen after that date, will either be done by the users or on the first official SCEA Roster update.
