Totally off topic: Can somebody PLEASE explain twitter to me? I don't , haven't used it for anything but entering contests and one time for a season where the Knicks had a live tweet thing going where you could use it real-time during the game. It worked more like a chat session then so that was no problem but I have no clue how this twitter thing really works. Who are you tweeting , how and where does your tweets go etc.

I would like to put something up on the links above but in the past I never see anything I write actually show up at where I thought it would.

I just want to know when they are getting implemented.

I think they are slowly leaked into the game. I have noticed that some teams have faces that are obviously scanned whereas other teams are clearly not.

I want more information on the next major update. Some of the NBA Live 14 tweets seem to indicate it will have a new practice facility and updated online play.

Didn't they already scan Kemba Walker's face at that Under Armour event a few months ago? I guess this is good, but they need to bring out the full potential of the Ignite Engine for Live 15. I want to see overall improvements on graphical faces, body-types, animations, and motion of players. They must improve these things to be taken seriously.

I guess you haven't read what most are saying it is not a perfect game by far but it definitely isn't a bad game...

Hopefully Gerald Hendersons shiny bald head will be in the game soon then ;-)

My thoughts on the Head Scanning: What the hell where the devs thinking when they released the game with the garbage graphics; in the first place? Wasn't this done like months back before the game was to be released? Who is in charge of the graphics department? This whole NBA LIVE 14 project looks like it was thrown together at the last minute; and then showcased as a "Next-gen", "Triple AAA", game! Which it clearly isn't!
I just want to know one thing; Who decided to release the game the way it is? One name; as it always comes down to one person; regardless of the votes in the room? The game clearly needed to be released as an Arcade game; and forfeit the $60 price tag.

cheers

I think, the prospect of creating a brand new game engine from scratch is out of the question, it would take years with no guarantee of success after the investment. Their current game engine, the animation system, and the player models etc, being recycled from previous generations is going to keep the game behind 2K forever. EA sports is really in a no win situation, the player faces being scanned in is a start, but the overhaul needed to become a viable source of competition is no where on the horizon. I wonder if anyone will post before and after screen shots of the player faces in LIVE for comparison.

I'm taking some pictures of the "worst" faces that I'm seeing, Kanter, etc. Once the face updates are implemented, I'll try to do a few comparison pictures.

I agree with your post! In my opinion they should save these scans for Live 15 instead of putting them in Live 14. They need to save as much of their budget for Live 15 as possible. They have put a huge question mark on their future by not making Live 14 a true next gen experience. All of the excuses have run out.

Don't expect these face scans until the big patch that supposedly comes out next month. They are scanning every team that travels to Orlando to play the Magic. They are not done scanning yet.

It won't be much longer. They said on a twitter post today that the big patch will be soon. I'm thinking by mid week next week.
