NASCAR® '14 Is Coming to Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3 system and PC on February 18

700,000+ Votes Counted - Fans Selected Tony Stewart, Three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion To Appear On The Cover

Check out the NASCAR '14 Official Tony Stewart trailer here and 8 new screenshots here.

Deep Silver announced today that the racing game NASCAR '14, developed by Eutechnyx, will launch in North America on February 18, 2014 on the Xbox 360® games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC for the suggested retail price of $49.99. Pre-order offers at Walmart, Gamestop, Best Buy, Target and Amazon may include diecast cars, exclusive paint schemes and more.
Fueled by high-octane intensity and the opportunity to relive the best NASCAR moments from both the 2013 season packed into the game plus regular downloadable content updates as the upcoming season progresses, NASCAR '14 offers fans the most complete NASCAR® experience yet.

Recently NASCAR revealed that more than 700,000 votes were cast worldwide in the "Drive for the Cover" contest as fans voted Tony Stewart, the three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion to appear onto the cover of NASCAR '14. The injury that kept Stewart off the track didn't stop fans of the driver of the No. 14 Bass Pro Shops / Mobil 1 Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing from beating another fan favorite, four-time champion Jeff Gordon. Stewart plans to return to the track for the Daytona 500 race in February, the same month NASCAR '14 hits store shelves.

"Deep Silver is releasing the best NASCAR racing experience yet to hit video game consoles," said Deep Silver Inc. COO, Geoff Mulligan. "Fans will soon be able to compete in recent high profile races, experiencing the exact same conditions the real drivers faced. With an aggressive post-release content plan, NASCAR '14 is a game NASCAR fans can enjoy all year long."

"With a February launch date, NASCAR '14 will make a great racing season companion for NASCAR fans," said Blake Davidson, NASCAR vice president of licensing and consumer products. "If history repeats itself, the new cover recognition for Tony Stewart will serve as a good luck charm as he heads back on the track and Smoke rises again."

Yes.

My first question would be around the new chase format.

Will it be included or will it be added at a later date ??

My second question would be about paint.

Can we download user paints and add them to the lineup on track ?....for example someone makes a bud car and we add it into the game so it shows up on the 29 car or what ever number it is this year .

I know it's kinda a open question but can you ask about car physics. More importantly if I get clipped in rear quarter panel will I spin or does it auto correct itself like a tank.

How is damage model?

And lastly can we import images for car sponsors?

Thanks

Can you ask if the xbox360 version will be region free. If so, then where to buy the game since European stores only sell PS3 and PC versions.

Never played a Nascar game before... But can someone explain how League play works. I'm going to assume that all members get together at a certain time and race. Are there any other cars on the track besides the members? What happens if I miss a race? Will my car still race but with the cpu driving instead of me?

I understand the numbers game, but if they would make an elite NASCAR game for the PS4 that is equivalent to NASCAR 2003 on PC I believe they would be able to sell enough units next year once more folks own the Next Gen systems

Smart move on their part. Since it is such a niche market they need to wait until more units are in households before they dedicate the resources and money to making the game.

One more week until it hits shelves!

I've two questions:

Will there be adjustable sliders?

Is it possible to edit the roster?

1. Driver assists should have adjustable sliders as they have in each of the last 2 PS3 iterations. Beyond that, probably not.

2. Extremely unlikely. As far as I know, the only racing game to ever allow editing of CPU driver attributes was NR2K3 on the PC. I liked to make Jimmie Johnson the worst driver in the field Don't think it's ever been possible on a console racing game, though NASCAR is the only real-life racing series for which I've played games.

Actually I think every NASCAR game I have played on the cpu you could edit the drivers attributes. Of course I have only played three of them I believe, but I know I have changed the attributes in all of them.
