NBA Live 14 News Post

The last time NBA Live 14's roster was updated, Stephen Jackson had just signed with the Los Angeles Clippers and Rudy Gay had been dealt to the Sacramento Kings in a massive 7-player trade.

Since December 10, almost a dozen different transactions have occurred in the NBA, including Captain Jack's departure from Lob City. None of those moves, unfortunately, are currently reflected in NBA Live 14.

My guess is that it has something to do with the massive patching they are doing, still don't see why that would prevent them from at least having plans to release an update for the living rosters.

Its a shame both franchises have dropped the ball on Next Gen, both are playable yet not playable at the same time (NBA 2K is difficult to play any career modes because you have to be online, and NBA Live, while technically playable, is not a game you want to play).

The Stephen Jackson signing has been in the PGA version for a while. Biggs and I had a condo about it. I hope that the rest will get done tonight.

Unfortunately the always online portion will plague all games going forward. Its great in theory but not practical in the grand scheme of things.

That said, EA has a lot of prove still with their basketball games. They sold a promise that the game would be up to date within hours of it happening in the real world yet that hasnt happened. Unless this update comes out and completely changes the way the game functions, I dont see how the consumer would/should expect much in Live 15. This by no means puts 2k in the clear as they have many issues of their own

I'm holding out hope that if/when this patch comes out that it fixes the "Promised Gameplay" features and some added animation tweaks, give me REALISTIC FOULS/FOULS/FOULS/TIMEOUTS!!!!!

This has been a issue with bball games since the beginning of time. I think majority of us offline users use custom rosters with massive tweaks.

The thing that pisses me off the most(pc modder/leecher) it literally takes 1 minute to update roster moves and signings. After the initial roster tweak it takes seconds to move players even without pc tools.

As for Live another exaggerated promise.

My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do... Buzz19.cℴm

Did an update drop yet? The Live twitter account said rosters are "coming in hot"...I would assume that meant soon...

Good post. This is inexcusable because it is one of the only things they boasted about prior to launch.

However, I assume with the release of the last patch a lot of EA man power is being used to fix/improve gameplay elements for this coming patch. If we receive neither a new patch (which significantly changes some gameplay aspects) nor updated rosters on a regular (hourly, right?) basis, I have no idea what they are doing over there at EA. Maybe they are mo-capping new baseline spin animations from the post

EA better realize that while this game is a good start (I have enjoyed it so far), it is in no way sufficient... empty promises to consumers is not the way to start.

Some things were added. It now says 11,107 records instead of 11,020, so that's something. They added some new challenges and a few slides on the home screen.

I know good and well that the game speed has been increased. The game is playing almost too quickly for my liking right now. I'm playing Heat vs Wizards (me), and Lebron and Wade are dominating. I've shot 3 free throws and they've shot 4 FT's in the first 4 minutes of play.

Also, D-Wade and the Heat ran a nice play, having Bosh set a screen for Wade, he drove middle, hop stepped, and instead of dunking (wide open) he rose up for the nice finger roll. Some things are being tweaked, I know.

Rosters haven't updated, so I guess those are just tendency files that's update?

man, they tweeted that like 2 days ago lol. don't know too much about the gaming industry but i don't think it should take that long to update rosters.
