Yes it's worth it. I was torn on this game but it's totally worth the money.

Hmm...expecting this from game fly today or tomorrow. Revisited the demo whilst exhibiting more patience, and had an improved experience. If it's going for $40 new, probably even less used.

I saw it for $40.99 used at Gamestop this weekend....

^theory immediately shot down. Lol. I'd buy for $40 though, if I have a good experience with my rental.

Sadly, it's still about $19.99 too much. After all the patches come out that they're working on, it might be worth it then. I didn't have any fun with it at all in its current state.

Not now not ever, even if it cost $0.00! Horrible experience from the demo.

I'll give one verbal warning. Those types of comments are trolling. They add nothing constructive to the conversation. If you wouldn't play it even if they paid you to, then you probably have no reason to be in the Live forums.

Not sure when your last experience with the demo was, but if you have access to a rental of the full version, I'd recommend it. The demo is a vague experience. Retail with the updates is much more polished. But to each their own.

I bought this game last week. I can understand why people have such a negative experience with it. If you try to play it like 2k you will lose... probably by a lot. This is especially true online. To those people on the fence who have had so-so experiences with the demo, I can only suggest that you keep playing it... It isn't perfect, but it is actually very fun once you get the hang of it.

Also, the more I play the more I see things that impress me that are absent from 2k. While some of the animations are not particularly smooth, some of the jumpers are more accurate in Live.

I overlooked my mail yesterday. Gamefly came through. Can't wait to try it in a bit. I haaaaated the demo. Big Moments seems like it has a lot of promise.

I have played it on Xbone (my son got it for Christmas). He had asked for it and I waited until the price dropped to $45. Personally, I have yet to find anything about this game which makes me want to play it over current gen titles. Player models seem very NCAA 09 to me and player face images do not seem any better than recent current gen titles. Commentary is quite weak and it just does not have the feel of an enjoyable basketball game. There have been at least 3 updates since we got it but it's got a long way to go for me. I have some issues with 2k14 on next gen as well so I don't want to get into a comparison. Let's just say I will be playing a lot of current gen basketball until next Fall.

It is a great mode!I couldn't believe it when I turned the game on for the first time on boxing day and there were already a ton of games to play. They are constantly adding games and they range in a lot of different categories.

Picked this up at Best Buy on Sunday when I saw it was on sale. Having a lot of fun with Ultimate Team, haven't even jumped into any other modes yet. I bought a play and charge kit for my controller and it knocked off 10 dollars, so the game rang up for 31 bucks. Not going to complain at that price point.

So you erased my message right? The truth doesn't work anymore? This price is great! If you are a live fan then you'll simply love this opportunity. Me personally I think this game is GARBAGE and I would be wasting my 40 bucks if I purcjased this game but thats just me. To the true NBA LiVe ballers you are in for a real treat and need to hurry and take advantage of this phenomenal deal. Go Live. APPROVE THIS MESSAGE!

It doesnt' look like you've posted in this thread before. The comments that were deleted still show as deleted. You're entitled to your opinion. I'm a basketball fan. Not a Live Fan, and this game is well worth retail price to me. If it's not worth it to you, that's fine, but the trolling comments won't be tolerated.

the game initially was horrible in my opinion, but it has definitely grown on me after playing it for a while... Its controls are a lot easier to use than the other company where you need to be a rocket scientist to pull of a move.. Once they get the animations looking better it will be that much better

I agree with you in that my initial impression and my present one are worlds apart. So, for the most part I follow you, with one slight exception... I find the controls for LIVE hard to master . I guess it's really a matter of what you've grown accustomed to.
