NBA 2K14 News Post

2K Sports has released another NBA 2K14 roster update this morning. I didn't notice any players added, so it's most likely just a few rating updates. Russell Westbrook has returned from injury and as Real2KInsider mentioned, Tyson Chandler and Tobias Harris have been added to the injured list.

Here is the list of players still missing from the game. (Thanks again to The Real 2KInsider)

Evan Turner shows drastic improvement and evidence that he can be the 76ers number 1 option, and he DROPS A POINT? Fire the 2k insider or whoever makes the call on ratings. This is Donnie Moore levels of laughably bad. If anything he should have been bumped up to an 80-82, not regressed a point. I was a critic of turner before the season, but he has dhown sone damn good play in 8 games and has a team everyone would be 0-8 at this point 4-4.

Im only specualating cause I dont know this to be true, but it could be possible that STATS is going thru and rerating guys to where they need to be, and will eventually see everyone rerated. Just a guess cause I dont know how Turner could go down with how he has played so far this year, but up intil this year he has always been overrated by 2k.

I hate the way that Stats is updating players. It's like they pick a couple individual ratings categories and then adjust them slightly for every single player (ie, they adjust everyone's 3pt rating, but don't touch the MID shot, or Off/Def Awareness, etc).

First off, 5 games into the season is not enough of a sample size to adjust everyone's rating, especially veterans who have established themselves. Secondly, Stats is working off of poor ratings to begin with, and are making just incremental adjustments to only some ratings categories. This makes young players like Anthony Davis and Evan Turner either go down or stay relatively the same OVR, even though they deserve massive increases across several individual ratings.

(And I can't stand the arrows - just update the ratings!)
