NBA Live 14 News Post

According to Rich Grisham, Press Row Podcast host, you will be able to download a fully featured NBA Live 14 demo on PS4 launch day (November 15) according to what he was told by officials he talked to at a recent press event.

It's possible/likely the demo will have playable parts of every mode, perhaps even allowing you to start franchises and careers -- but will be limited either by time like the Season Ticket games were or by simply not allowing you to go past a certain point in certain modes. If the demo is truly fully featured, this is a shrewd business move by EA to offer a try-before-you-buy option for Live 14 to try to entice some customer goodwill ahead of the games launch on November 19.

UPDATE: EA Sports has announced the NBA Live 14 demo will arrive on November 19th, the same day it arrives in stores.

Will you be checking out the demo?

He's probably talking about the playstation 60 min trial thing. In that case, which means we have to download 50GBs to try it out for five mins. I never downloaded 50GBs on a 6mb connection. How long you'd think that will take me?

So why not just release the full game at the PS4 launch? Just asking.

If its a PS plus demo, then they make you download the full game. so it would probably be 49-50gbs. I haven't seen a game on next gen that is under that size. So the download time would be insane. Usually full fledged demos are games themselves with locked elements, and you usually end up purchasing the key to unlock the other elements in a game.

If its a full fledged demo, it leads you to speculate how big demos will be? I need to get faster speed internet soon.

its not exactly a demo (if its done that way). its a trial of the full game, which means you download the full game, and have a certain amount of time to play it, usually around 60 minutes. either way, ng systems have been touting play as you dl so you shouldnt have to wait for the whole game to dl before you start playing.

I didn't plan on buying both basketball games, but if the demo lives up to my expectations, as a basketball fan, I won't hesitate to pick this up on the 19th with 2K14.

We've had to do this on current Gen with 2K for a few years now, even though the online is subpar, the online modes are often broken or easily exploitable, and the rosters are never correct. Not to mention the shell game they play with us of adding and subtracting features we enjoyed, and annually passing them off as new features each time.

At least it still looks good though.

We need this year's video game basketball competition to be good, for next year's basketball video game (2k and Live) releases to be great.

Credibility lost due to total collapse of objectivity.

The title of this thread is funny now.

"A Fully Featured NBA Live 14 Demo is Coming at PS4 Launch"

A fully featured demo, that seemingly has no features within it.

It just sucks that they won't just release the game at launch, IMO.
