Animations looked much more fluid in this video.

Again, like what I'm hearing, but will it all be completely functional instead of data that is being shown to me, but not being translated directly to in game scenarios.

Like the daily challenges. I could see myself playing one of those everyday, especially the ones that are only one-quarter challenges

Christ, if we can see some 5V5 gameplay and all this works as intended, we can be in for a real treat with this game.

Like what i'm hearing today!!

Things like tendencies are huge for me...and them showing the system and how it actually operates is impressive..

Props to the Live team, show me some great gameplay and you'll have my wife pissed at me for spending so much on games on the 22nd

It's just a natural reaction for some people at this point. Iv'e been as critical as anyone when it comes to this game, but all the info their releasing today is SO promising and can really lead to a fun game of basketball if it works like it's supposed to.

If they can give us a good, smart, smooth experience on the court, where not every player is looking to attack the hole at all costs, completely not worrying about running plays, then we're in for a good time.

But, we need some 5V5. I can't justify blindly purchasing a game just based on word of mouth.

YouTube commenters aren't real people, lol

Hating on this is very thread also. It's sad really, some people just need to get over themselves.

Back on topic.

I like what I'm seeing so far. Is the 30 team online seasons true?

Live Season looks really cool. If I gathered correctly, challenges are created based off of real life performances. For instance, one challenge was for John Wall to get six assists in the fourth quarter of a game against the Lakers (I think it was the Lakers), seemingly to mirror a real life performance from the night before. I think it's an awesome idea.

Unfortunately, I must say I'm expecting the game to be quite rough around the edges, so I kind of wish that type of feature was in 2K instead. My hope is for Live to take the Triple Play Baseball route of a decade ago, where they scrapped a lot, got their biz together, and made a three year building run that ultimately led to a gem in MVP Baseball 2005.

I will say it looks a lot smoother from what we saw in initial trailers.

Actually I wasn't. You didn't say anything negative about the game. Graphics are a step behind other games which is clear to everyone.

while i don't trust IGN they did say it looks better when you're playing it

I just want to see some gameplay footage to see how the defense works

This looks good! Lets hope this franchise can be successful because competition is vital for this upcoming next gen market. In time they will be able to make the game more photo realistic.

I like the ideas the Live is coming up with this year. It really seems like they are trying to keep this game fresh and interesting throughout the season. Hopefully those tendencies from Synergy really do individualize players and represent their real life counterparts.

The graphics look solid (those Pelicans jerseys are gnarly though).

After watching it just for the info, I've been taking a look at the gameplay in the background when the producer is talking. You can see Kobe isolating on the right wing...looked like Kobe to me.

A lot of good stuff today, good job EA.

Although the graphics are nothing to right home about, the actual AI looks like it could be impressive. Especially as we get deeper into the season when statistics and tendencies will begin to even out. Will definitely be a rental and possibly a purchase down the road for me.

that was pretty. I liked that the defender didn't move with him at the same time. he reacted to what kobe did. hopefully that was an ai defender and not human. would love to see a game with ai that reacts to movement rather than button input.

When the guys were talking the 5 on 5 was in the background and looked fluid and realistic....

So technically they showed us 5 on 5, just not like we wanted to see it...
