The Weirdest Ending to a Game in Madden For You Was...?

The Dolphins winning in OT on a safety, because why not?

In case you missed it, last night the Bengals fell to the Dolphins thanks to a safety in OT. The Bengals' bid for a fifth straight win was dashed completely when Miami defensive end Cameron Wake sacked Cincinnati QB Andy Dalton at the 6:38 mark in OT for a safety, giving the Dolphins a 22-20 victory.

It's not that often you see an NFL game end this way, and it got me to thinking: What has been the weirdest possible way for a game to end in Madden?

For me personally, I once lost a gameon a fumble recovery for a TD after being tackled making a fumble recovery to end the game while I was tied late.My wounds from that event have yet to fully heal.

What about you? What is the weirdest way you've ever saw a game end in Madden?

I was playing with the Giants against my brother at San Francisco in Madden 08 or 09 I believe.

I had a lead in the 4th quarter but my kick returner fumbled, giving my brother the opportunity he used to tie the game. We went into OT and I won the coin toss. I returned the kick to about the 20 and just dove to the ground before a defender could hit me and force another fumble. ..... but as my guy hit the ground he fumbled without being touched, seemed the ground caused the fumble, and my brother recovered and kicked the FG to win the game. I dont remember who was the returner at the time, but man did I want to kill him! Lol

3< minutes left in the game .. 4th and goal from my 1 with my team holding a one-possession lead.. my adrenaline is flowing to get the goal-line stop ...

"Your opponent has been kicked for excessive grieving"

I mean, it was great to get a win, but I was excited for the opportunity at a goal-line stuff

In Madden 25 Owner Mode. I was the Bills and up by 1 against the jets. I just got the game leading and probably game winning score. Jets had the ball at about midfield with 3 seconds left. Threw up a hail mary pass that was intercepted by Jarius Byrd at the 1 who was hit and tackled in the endzone for a safety. I lost 22-21. Craziest Finish ever.

2nd year in online CFM playing as San Diego. Up 17 on Miami, lost Rivers mid third quarter and Sorensen came in; Dolphins slowly chip away and tie the game. 7 seconds left in the 4th; I'm on my own 20 and say what the hell and try to sneak a HB screen in, QB gets smashed by the Dolphins d-line and they force a fumble, my Center is the only one close enough to try to stop the touchdown but trips over my QB, touchdown Dolphins, game over.

in m25 ccm i had my cardinals against the seemingly unstoppable panthers in week 13. so its the 4th qtr with 6 seconds left and i had the ball. all i had to do was get it past the 50 and david beuhler could boot it basically anywhere. i call four verticals to get it to edelman on the inside. so tyler wilson throws the ball deep to edelman past the 50 and catches it, breaks a tackle, then gets tackled with one second left. sounds great right?...wrong. the game screws me over by not allowing me to call one of my 3 timeouts as im mashing the select button repeatedly and i lose the game 24-22 which ended up allowing carolina to have the tiebreaker for home field advantage over me in the playoffs -_- so i had to settle for the 3 seed

When I was a little kid I was playing Madden on Sega Genesis and the game went into OT. The opponent gets the ball first, but I pick it off. Somehow I ended up running the wrong way, end up in my own endzone, and the game ends on a safety. I was very upset after that loss.

Years later, now playing on my 360, I was going head-to-head against my cousin. It was a back and forth game, and he had a seven point lead late in the fourth. He's getting excited because he never beats me in Madden, I can never beat him in MLB games, but I am able to get a TD right as time expires. I decide to go for the 2-pt conversion and the win. I roll out with Vick and he thinks I'm going to run, he comes at me full speed, and I flip the ball over the defender for the 2-pts and the win. I still remind about that game from time to time.

I had a great game with Madden 12. I was the Lions, and I was down 28-10 to the Packers with 6 minutes left. Then, I scored a TD, intercepted the Packers QB, scored again, got the onside kick(The only onside kick I have ever gotten in any sports game), and found Megatron to win, 31-28.
