NBA 2K14 Roster Update Available Now, Details Included (10-30)

After releasing an NBA 2K14 roster update yesterday, 2K Sports has release another one today, which includes an update for Online Associations.

After glancing through the update, I don't see much of a change. They didn't adjust any lineups, added 2 players (which still leaves 24 players missing), moved players from the free agent list to their correct teams, as well as moved a few players from their old team to the free agent list.

Every update, dating back the last 3-4 years, only 2 or 3 players added. Why is it so hard?
There were 25 players missing from opening rosters. You're telling me you can't keep a few guys late to get them in? I'm having a hard time comprehending this?

There has to be a reason!

Another thing that really makes the need for accurate rosters is the 2kshare bug where CAPs glitch Association mode. It makes needing all players a must for us Association guys who want realism that is anyway.

I imagine the thing that is hard is trying to make the faces for the guys. For all of the issues that they have on current gen with faces, they aren't just spitting out create-a-player faces for these guys.

They really need to add Faverani though, it's pretty ridiculous how they haven't yet. The guy's a starting center, played 27 minutes tonight, and had double digit points.

These rosters are hilarious. Looks like the "constructive talks" with the 2kinsider which LD2k mentioned a while ago were pretty much people telling him he's doing a great job

Glad I didn't buy 2k14 so far. If they release a patch and start to give a f*ck about rosters, then maybe. But this is ridiculous.

How can you call him a casual?
Neither people who got paid to follow, write and talk about the NBA, pay attention to most of the guys currently missing in the rosters

Which people are you talking about specifically and how do you know they don't pay attention? Any concrete examples?

Also, I don't think you need to be a hardcore NBA nerd to know players like Antic, Calathes, Mekel and Datome. Come on, 2k didn't even manage to include the Celtics' starting center. What the hell is this? I know the word "lazy" gets thrown around too much and it's not like 2k didn't put any effort into current gen 2k14, but rosters are just lazy as f*ck. Same sh!t as always...big talk, but nothing to back it up.

I didn't know I am a guy who is paid to follow, write and talk about the NBA, because I actually care about this players.
And I care about true-to-life ratings and tendencies.
I care about having spent my money on a game that doesn't keep its promises.

Everybody here is crazy. 2 days in to the season and there is panic about Vitor Faverani.
And then you guys wax nostalgic about going back and playing NFL 2k5 because it was the best.

He's a casual because he doesn't care that the rosters are inaccurate. Hardcore guys want the details right, especially of their team.

The one thing I fail to understand is, why is it so hard for them to add guys already on the disc but hidden, like Pero Antic? I can understand not having a scan of a guy and having to make a CAP for him and that may take time, fine. But guys like Antic, Julyan Stone and Robbie Hummel are already ON the disc. Is it so hard to simply unlock them?

A team's bench is just as important as the starters. That's why we need a accurate roster. 2K neglects accurate roster updates because of casuals like you.

If they advertise updating tendencies then it should've reflected in the first two updates. The complaints are justified!

But the game is out for a month now, not just 2 days... It can't be that hard to create a player or, like some people said, just unlock them, cause they're already on the disc.

Hell hardcore guys dont just have the right players they have the much better ratings for free. Its long past the time that VC hires one of the top roster editors. My vote is Rashidi. He might be an a%@$ goblin to many but his rosters and ratings are just plain better and have been for a decade.
