NBA Live 14 Will Feature Ultimate Team, Pre-Order to Receive Seven Premium Gold Packs

Rumored way back in early May, Amazon has now confirmed NBA Live 14 will feature Ultimate Team.

By pre-ordering the game through Amazon for either the PS4 or Xbox One, users will receive 7 NBA Live 14 Ultimate Team premium gold packs.

Everyone is begging to see 5 on 5 gameplay, so don't change the topic at hand.

I knew they'd have this, but my main modes I wanna see is hopefully a career mode that's stable and will be built into connected careers for next year, plus a good pro clubs style game mode.

I know it's just a photo, but if that's any indicator Live 14 doesn't look to be pushing the limits of the next gen systems.

Well, I am interested...

Ever since UT was introduced, I thought it would be 10x better in a basketball game...hopefully the gameplay is on point so I can enjoy the mode...

Not interested in these money grabbing modes. 2k already copied this mode in their game.

If EA wants to get people's attention and stand out in having a great online mode then include Clubs, since 2k has been unwilling to bring back Crew. Of course having solid simulation gameplay is #1.

Not interested at all. In my opinion, these type of modes are money grabs and add zero quality. What these modes do are take away time and money from real development on the more important features, like fixing bugs and correcting/enhancing gameplay.

It makes no sense to preorder this game based off this series previous track record and the fact that we have not even gotten any gameplay footage.

I like ultimate team modes. It would be strange if the mode weren't included, but if Live actually makes a halfway decent game this year, then I'll play some ultimate team.

Note how I am not mentioning the lack of gameplay videos here at all.

Ultimate Team has become EA's bread and butter and to be successful at selling coins and turning over packs you need a game that has broad appeal. A game that is easy to pick up and play. A game that makes everyone feel like a superstar without months of practice or an in depth understanding of strategy. A game where cards make the difference. Unfortunately that business model doesn't lend itself towards realism.
