Not a fan of the thread title but it still technically is correct.

No new sliders y'all.

Default slider has always been 50 throughout, it's for the Novice. Where's the SIM sliders, those are the real deal ones.

They gonna be the same exact settings they've always been.

Lower Inside/Close 5 points
Lower 3pt 2 points
Raise Contact Sliders (Inside/Drive)
Lower Steal Success (iirc)
Maybe raise Fouls (iirc)

Yep, 2K's simulation slider set is a joke. Passing accuracy should be part of that, as well as contested jump-shooting.

Funny that they replaced inside with standing layup for player ratings, but kept inside for sliders.

Well a standing layup. It makes sense. Like what bigs do when they are near the rim and they don't dunk it. Weren't thoses automatic last year? I've seen some instances in the gameplays we've had so far where bigs (Lopez) missed a standing still layup very close to the rim and there was no contact. Last year theses where automatic.

I don't know much about sliders but does this new slider mean anything? Like ain't it a good thing they've added it?

Now I can just apply my slider set from NBA 2K13 over to 2K14.

There was no need to add any sliders.....GOOD JOB 2K!!!
Totally agree. Not much need to do that much trial and error this year. The only adjustments I think I will need to look at is blocking and on-the-ball defense since the developers made it clear that these were two areas that they focused on.

I guess it would come down to where STLYP is in effect at and w/o knowing the difference between 13 inside and 14 STLYP ratings, we can't say anything really right now.

But to me, it looks like they just changed the name from Inside to STLYP, which I am sure they've done more than just change the name, but I am sure it will be another year before we figure out if we ever figure out what it truly means/does.

WTF! Dont know who in the heck that was in that sound track right there, but that is one song I will be turning off. I know I am old and dont know a whole lot about new music, but that song sounded like something you would hear in a tear jerker movie, not a basketball game. I sure hope it get better that with the music, I actually enjoyed last years soundtrack, and it had Scott Rolen walk up music on it by Coldplay cause I loved that song cause of Rolens walk up music.

I just watched the new sliders video but the video was moving too fast for me to concentrate. Did anyone see anything new?

# 13 raiderphantom @ 09/26/13 09:08 PM
Standing layup is more specific. Inside is a more general term that could confuse people. However, why change the rating and not the slider name? That makes no sense.

Shot of the dribble & Traffic are still not included in the sliders...

# 15 ItsOrangeBaby @ 09/27/13 03:21 AM
Came in here not expecting too much, but they could of at least added something new.
