I gotta be honest, I just don't feel very impressed with the current gen version of 2k this year. Everything we've seen and heard is leading me to just wait until next gen drops in November.

Knicks/Clips looked good but there were practically no fouls. At 4:40, how in the world does Shump make that?? Toughest layup I've probably ever seen him make. One of the fouls actually called was on a Tyson post up lol

I wouldn't be surprised if they don'ttune that if the fouls are really too low. In the impressions thread that is one thing alholbert32 said needed tweaking from a slider perspective. One thing they seemed to taken out was that foul your CPU teammate would do out of your control to provide help defense.

Yeah I am not a fan of the passing either....one good thing about it is that the defense gets back/ reacts quickly...so it shouldn't be a huge advantage...

This has been the mantra going around regarding why this game looks the same as 2K13 and I'm just not buying it. The carry over of graphical inaccuracy from one year to the next ie the aqua color of the Knicks jersey, faces that needed updates yet look identical to last year such as Durant and Chandler Parsons, and courts from 2 seasons ago such as the Dallas Mavericks floor which were not touched for 2k14 do not suggest limitation; it suggests a lack of attention/effort. I can dig this approach as long as the next gen graphics are up to par.

Gameplay wise, the current gen actually looks much improved. I might give this a look on the PC.

Seriously though, his face is a visual glitch. It should have been adressed.

If all they cared about was next gen then they should have sold us current gen at a discounted price.

When ld2k said yesterday during the live stream that they are preoccupied with this little thing called next gen, then I already knew what was going on. I hope I am wrong about all of these small things that seem like we may get schiested on current gen. The game looks good every year until we play it for a while and we see things that need to be fixed, if they have moved on to next gen I doubt anything on current gen will get corrected if there is a problem. But, I do appreciate the improvements in the game from 13 to 14.

Man this is NBA2K13.5.1 and Next Gen better be the whole different experience that they say it will be. None of those videos got me excited at all. We have no DEMO to even try see if we would give the game a purchase.

Well its become apparent that 2k over the last few years has been a fast break run and gun type of game... Most of the users are doing a few quick passes if any and just trying to go to the bucket or shooting horrible jump shots... the computer looked good, but the player controlled teams horrendous

Really hard for me to honestly say how I feel about the game because NO ONE is playing the game the way I play it. It would be nice to get some sim heads on there to give us some gameplay. That's the only reason I've decided to wait until next gen. Some sim gameplay would really force my hand.

I am copping though but they really should think about giving the game to a least one sim guy to upload 6 minute quarters with random teams showing the game play improvements. Teams actually run plays even iso's are by design. I mean not even a simple pick and roll just weird man. That run best play option sounds like a big improvement for even casuals and sim heads.

Dear god, I meant the overall look of the game. It's going to look the same because they've reached their peak in terms of graphics on this gen.

If you want to talk about new face scans, scoreboards and colors, be my guest, but the overall look of the game is going to remain largely unchanged.
