We already saw the first trailer. That means, they have 1 trailer planned for every week until release. Awesome. That's nice marketing.
But yeah, really hoping one of these shows off real 5 on 5 gameplay.
Out of curiosity, why doesn't NBA.com promote the 2K series?
The NBA has always promoted EA as far as I can remember. Not really sure why though. Could be the fact that EA is the bigger company or it could be money.
I just hope that all the future vids are continuous 50 second sequels to that clip from last week. I hope to see some true 5 on 5 gameplay and dev insight vids of good lengths.
Hmm I find it intriguing that their confident enough to promote their game on such a huge network. If this game isn't good every NBA fan worldwide will realize it. I think this could be a real solid game, and it seems they have their marketing campaign planned out very well.

I think they marketed Live 10 and Elite there as well, so I don't know if that speaks on how good the game is. But, the fact they can deliver dates for trailers is a small step in the right direction. If they can confirm what those trailers will consist of (5on5 gameplay, dev insights), then I would say that's a huge step in the right direction.

I'm definitely excited after seeing the trailer last week. I know it wasn't much, but the fact they showed something and announced a couple more is pretty big news. EA Sports has released several big games the past few weeks, and it's really no surprise the next-gen stuff was pushed back a little. It's just the way business is. Now that all the current-gen games are being released, I think all the next-gen titles will get more love. The focus will definitely shift to that, and that obviously includes NBA Live. This is the title I'm most looking forward to right now for the XBox One/PS4.

The marketing definitely is a step in the right direction. Maybe they did market Elite and Live 10 on NBA.com but it was probably just a banner on the side of the site or something, maybe a video. But to have every video release on NBA.com opposed to places like IGN, Gamestop, Gametrailers or even Operation Sports first shows their really bold this year. I mean that's the big stage.
That's like your star Quarterback coming back from a injury and his first game to show if he's healed is in the Superbowl.
I just hope it speaks for the quality of the game, but it certainly is a positive sign if you ask me.
Still waiting for real next gen gameplay from either studio. We have no idea what either game will look or play like right now. If Live puts out a trailer that is something more than just flash cuts and dunking highlights, I will be very surprised.
