And what I also appreciate is at the :59 sec mark of the 3rd vid when driving the lane it looks really smooth compared to an animation that would prevent you and allow a defender to get back into place.

Honestly a bit disappointed. I like the gameplay improvements but the presentation looks to be the same. I was expecting graphics to be the same but was hoping for some a bit of new presentation. I'm honestly having a blast with 2k13 and only in my 3rd year of my career. I see nothing here that makes me say "Hey, I got to go get 2k14" looks like I may just enjoy 2k13 a bit longer unless next gen really impresses me.

I could've swore Duroleague plays with the trianglular key, and not the regular rectangle one the NBA has.

I agree. I know the gameplay improvements are nuanced and likely more noticeable once I see more (or play the game myself) but as someone who doesn't really have a launch next generation console on their priority list, I guess I was just pulling for a current generation 2K14 that felt fresh in many aspects. I suppose I understand the thinking though (why revolutionize current gen. presentation when next generation is here?) but it's just a bummer.

this does nothing for me, i just want to see next gen gameplay because looking at current gen cannot not really see huge changes(which the biggest change for this game was the control scheme) which is not good, so i'm guessing the next gen gameplay wld or should jump out to me.....looking at this makes me feel like i'm looking at 2k13

Pause the 3rd video at 31 sec and tell me what you see ? Yall sleeping!

13 sec of 3rd video on-ball defender stays in stance and puts hand up to challege shot or passing lane... While moving man, I thought yall loved basketball ROTFLOL.

Natural fast breaks with passing to cutters not being bobbled. You can see the speed of the passes there also.
I don't have too many issues with what I saw, but a brotha need answers to a couple of things lol.

1. At 0:35 or 0:34 (in the first video). Cpu being able to run right through you?

2.0:40 (in the last video)the transition defense and kevin durant being wild open just from jogging up court. What's good with the transition D?

3.0:50 (in the last video) Perkins was defended well, but the defender fell and perkins wasn't affected physics wise, but that was a big issue for me in 2k13 how physics only applied to the defender while the offensive player just acted like he wasn't there.

And I realize this isn't the final product.

i agree those things really made me mad in 2k13 to the point i wanted to break the dang game lol

i feel like every year there changing the timing on the jump shots(which i hate) durant shot looks quicker now, and at the 1:00 mark on the last video with okc did anybody notice how the defense of players didn't pay any attention to the person with ball and just lead to him with a open lane to the left side of the basket smh..i hate it when the AI does not react like they suppose to smh

A few things:

- Passes to have more zip to them this year
- KD's shot is new, and damn good.

You'd be surprised at how many players received new shots. More and more real every year but it felt like 2K7 all over again to me when I first started playing it. Dev's put in that work.

I doubt that, I'm sure they will sell way more copies for the 360/ps3 than for the next gen so I think the next gen won't be the priority until at least 2k15.

Next gen users will be the minority in 2k14

Sorry but it looks the same I know last year they released screenshots and videos before they made new player cyberfaces. If your asking me to buy a new $60 game for passing and bring the ball up animations you good

Obviously, since this is current gen gameplay footage I expected the graphics to be the same as 2K13. I'm not good at seeing improvements in gameplay simply by watching a video but a couple of things did jump out at me:

1. The spacing seemed to be better. Guys weren't bunching up, they seemed to maintain good spacing.

2. The passing seemed faster, smoother, and better overall. I saw a bounce pass on the Fastbreak that would usually be magically stolen on 2K13 completed in the video. That really made me optimistic since low post passing in 2K13 is usually futile.

However, I think I'll save my money for Next-Gen 2K14... I think that's were all the goodies are!

They changed that a couple of years ago.

Sent using Tap a Talk

Not a fan of the presentation, same as last year but different color. Everything else looked good or at least on par with 2k13. Id take 2k13 with 2k12 presentation and be happy though

Also like Durant's new, lightning-quick release.
Seeing that the defender was user controlled, I'm going to say *yes*. You can do that at will.

ok lets real and honest with ourselves here...one the spacing looked good in 2k13 first videos that was posted before the game came out and the bounce pass on the fast break looked nice too as well before the game came out but as soon we got the game in our hands it seem like of those good things just disappear ..so my point is i wouldn't buy into too much you see until you get your hands on the game yourself..

The double standard against sports games amazes me. How do you expect it to look? I don't see Call of Duty looking all that different outside of setting - which sports games don't have the luxury of doing. So, what do you expect to see different? I'm curious.
