WWE 2K14 - 30 Years of WrestleMania Mode Trailer and Screenshots

2K Games and WWE kicked off the SummerSlam weekend in a big way showcasing WWE 2K14 for the masses. The roster reveal of the 30 Years of WrestleMania mode on Saturday had some big surprises like Razor Ramon, Goldberg and Yokozuna. They also revealed more of the mode itself.

I was able to get hands on with the game, and played the Hulk Hogan/Andre The Giant match from WrestleMania III, I was simply blown away with the presentation of it. The intro video got me hyped up and then the match itself looked old school VHS quality, which fits the era and the mode. The match flows fantastic with the storyline playing out as it did back during the real match.

There�s an objective list, the first is shown for you and the rest are hidden. As you complete each objective, the next objective is revealed. A little cut scene plays out in game as you do each objective. I also played the Shawn Michaels/Ric Flair match from Wrestlemania 24. Incredible storytelling here, with Shawn forcing Flair to retire via the match stipulations which are again, played out in video form before the match begins. The end of the match, which is a spoiler, but this was 6 years ago, shows Ric actually crying in the ring when he loses.

There will be more of the mode, as there�s over 45 matches and over 200 unlockables to obtain, over the next few months. Also other modes will be detailed as well. WWE 2K14 is out October 29th on PS3 and Xbox 360.

any one else notice piper in the trailer, but wasn't he not revealed in the roster

That was just a video clip. There was no in-game clip of Piper. Doesn't indicate anything.

He'll possibly be DLC, but other than there being Roddy Piper Shirts in the crowd, there's been nothing to say he'll be in the game.

Awesome trailer! I really enjoyed Attitude Era in WWE 13, so am very much looking forward to this mode.

I don't care so much about the look(though there are some people(BOOKER T in WWE 12/13 is worst looking video game character in the history of wrestling games) who don't look anything like how they are supposed to look), but at least fix up some people. The hair especially looks strange. Long hair mostly(DX HHH hair is strange, most of the divas have the most messed up hair ever. Divas in general look strange, Lita in the game looks like the parody Lita that Edge/Christian brought out in attitude era)

I know all games will obviously have it's share of bugs/glitches, but never before had I played a game with amount of bugs/glitches as WWE13. Not just that,but THQ did NOTHING to ever fix it. In games like MLB and NBA, if problems occur, you'd at least see developers release patches or something to fix it(if lucky,we'd get like 2-3 patches within the first month or two of the games release). WWE games don't have that.

I'm praying to god that they're working on a DLC up to date version of Daniel Bryan. When the game launches he'll be arguably the biggest guy in the company, with Cena out. I can deal with attire or hairstyle differences but his entire character is out of date right now.

Cannot wait for this game. If you experienced these matches as a kid as I did it is a no brainer. Incredible just to see this stuff brought back to life. I remember Andre ripping the hulksters shirt off in the snake pit challenging him for the title like it was yesterday. At that age I was freaked out at the thought of Hogan losing to the 8th wonder of the world. Then to see Hogan do what no one thought possible, slam the giant, drop the leg, and pin him for the 1...2.....3 had me hooked....4 life

Is it odd they haven't announced Universe mode as an in game mode this year like they have in the past

With Big John Studd in the game it looks like we'll be getting the $15,000 Body Slam Match from WrestleMania 1. I know this sounds really picky, but I hope 2K gives us Andre in his blue tights for that match... using "heel" Andre in the black tunic wouldn't be historically accurate.

Nitpicking? Yeah.

they have said that all matches will be "authentic" with the proper gear and look...so think that Andre will have the blue tights.

The tunic is probably gonna be available only if you put him in your universe.

Kind of like last year with the attitude era...you couldn't use Mick Foley's champion alternate theme song (his remix of the psycho Mankind theme)
