These ratings may be adjusted. Pasta Padre released screen shots of top D players from his copy of Madden. Wilkerson dropped from 96 to 94

Gotta love it - cause switching positions makes you slower / weaker -_-

You can't treat DVOA as something concrete when it is a subjective measurement. The basis of DVOA is sound, but there's no exact formula explaining the results. Straight from Football Outsiders, DVOA is partially explained as "DVOA measures not just yardage, but yardage towards a first down: Five yards on third-and-4 are worth more than five yards on first-and-10 and much more than five yards on third-and-12. Red zone plays are worth more than other plays." No where does it explain how they reach their final percentage over an entire season. What's a better DVOA play: giving up 4 yards on a 2nd down and 8 or giving up 8 yards on a 1st down and 15? There's just no concrete explanation.

Is there anything else you would like to contend with my argument? Do you agree that basing an argument on a vote isn't very sound? Was my analysis of Peterson's playing tendencies compared to DeAngelo's incorrect?

While I will always say Madden ratings are higher than they should be, moving positions should NEVER effect ratings like Speed/Strength/Agility/other physical abilities. Those should only be changed because the player has gotten older or he's just not carrying about football anymore or what ever. Hell, I would say DeMarcus Ware is better at DE then OLB because he's a superior pass rusher then coverage guy.

I have no idea how Moore rates guys because as many have pointed out, he's inconsistent in who gets improvements and when. It's stupid that for players to work, ratings have to be adjusted, not the gameplay itself. It makes no sense at all.

This why I'm glad we have roster makers

wasnt peterson's first probowl as a returner?

the pass defence is certainly helped by a good dline applying pressure

Lol, they obviously don't visit the training camps. Ware has been beasting this off season. I keep up with the local teams through local sources. If anything Ware should be rated even higher. He hasn't lost a step at all.
