NBA 2K14 Features Crew Mode - 3-on-3 or 5-on-5

The achievement list teased the announcement earlier, but 2K Sports has now confirmed NBA 2K14 will feature Crew Mode. As Shade8780 points out, it looks like it could be current-gen only, at the very least we won't know about its status on next-gen just yet.

I would say since it has considerably more views than the "2k14 features revealed" thread, made on the same day, that people definately care about crew; hell maybe even as much or more as they do about finding out what's going to be in the next game. First, I'm not a mod. If I were, the ban hammer would be broken from overuse. Second, polls are filled in by folks the that pound the forums. The same people I'm talking about. The vocal minority. Vocal, but still a minority. Lastly, a lot of you guys come off as butt hurt and defensive. If I come off petty to any group, it's the group of people pitching a fit because they THINK they didn't get exactly what they want. Well, cry a river. It's a game. No puppies will be harmed if Crew isn't played in an arena. There is SO much crying about assumed minutia, I'm starting to think VC should have just left the mode out completely until it was fully baked. But then we would REALLY be seeing crying, I guess. Any reasonable person would settle for part of what they want if they can't have it all. I'm sure many of the Crewbies will make do. But some of them are really going off. "Well, I'll just buy Live" before they even know if Live will actually ship, let alone have a Crew like mode that they crave so much.

And for the record, being bitter versus being annoyed (and mostly amused) with incessant whining and temper tantrums are two different things. But if you prefer to call it bitter, that's fine. No skin off my back. :P

...When did I ever say people clicked on the thread by accident? All I was stating was that not all who view it are heavily invested in crew. They click on the thread because its information about 2k14. Doesn't mean they are big crew fans.

Also, a factor contributing to this thread having more views is that it was made by Steve. So it's bound to be official information. The features thread was created by jerzeyreign who is a regular user. Not the creator of the whole site.

Funny that you don't seem to care about crew very much, meanwhile I check back into the thread and you have just bombarded everyone with massive walls of text that seem to suggest otherwise. You shouldn't get yourself so worked up like that over a mode you're not even into.

I am okay with playing on blacktop. Instead of creating a "NBA" team like in 2k10 we have "playground" teams, like most of us experienced in real life.

I am not saying anyone tha wants the "NBA" style is wrong or anything, just saying that I am okay with blacktop.

As long as they address the gameplay. (Fouls, fatigue, easy jumpers, etc.)

Funny thing I find about Crewbies, they are the least active people in the 2K subforum, yet when they hear crew, they explode and rise a ruckus.

You are wrong. I loved the mode. Hacks killed it for me. Those should be gone. I'm all in. That's why I keep coming back to the thread. To see if there is any REAL developments on the mode. Instead, it's more complaints about what we don't know and therefore assume.

I'll say this, as long as 5v5 has full court and normal rules, it could be played in a swimming pool. I'm ok with that. Some aren't and that's fair. But to go off as if that is fact at this point is silly in my opinion.

defensive? nah, i already know you're schtick, come on here and reply to every single crew post saying "we don't know for sure, blah blah blah". i don't care, it's pointless, but whatever. i'm a crew fan whose seen the vid, and tweets, and can read between the lines. obviously i'm not happy about it. a mode that was perfected years ago(there were no hacks on ps3), and went on a long hiatus(for no reason), comes back as a shadow of it's former self. sure, 2k defines what crew is, but why make it 100 times worse than it was? if it ain't broke, don't fix it. not saying they had to raise the bar, but at least keep it as it was.

But the thing is YOUR NOT WAITING. "I saw the vids, tweets, and read between the lines." Yeah, the people who know most about the mode have to shut up to not give details. Why can't you wait, that's the problem.
