Sterling Sharpe in '95 was sooo sick. Would have been my pick over Finneran.

Finneran over guys like Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Cris Carter, Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne? Odd choice.

Finneran is cool. Who have preferred Crumpler cause he was the one Falcons users used against me .

Smh! Not a ***** of Finneran... Torrey Holt, Issac Bruce, Jimmy Smith, if you just want a white wr. Ed mcafrrey, Ricky Phrole, Wes Welker. Not a fan of T.O. or Chad Johnson but those guys were a better # 2 than Fin. I would rather seen Gonzo, or Shannon Sharpe get TE. Head scratchers on some of these selections. Going back to qb. Vick was real good if you were a cheesier! But as far as qbs go. Lotta names could have fill that spot. Mcnabb, Brady, Manning, Farve? At one point those guys had to be 99. If anything they need 2qbs.

How would Finneran be better at 87 than Marvin Harrison of around the same year,T.O. was great back then,Larry Fitzgerald a couple years back,Calvin Johnson has been a beast the past couple years and even DeSean Jackson in 2011 was the best weapon Vick had in any Madden game.

What a joke! Finneran wasn't even an 80 overall in Madden 2004, he was average at best! And that was back when really the only thing that separated receivers was the speed rating.. and Finneran was slow as hell.

And I love how that ESPN article mentions how Finneran was unstoppable with 'rocket catch' yeah that's real funny because they didn't have rocket catch in Madden 2004..

I used to play Madden 2004 religiously, and I can tell you right now Brian Finneran was a borderline scrub.. this is an absolute joke

It's funny how Finneran's blurb is basically 'he was in Madden 2004' while everyone else have a few token words about how good or dominant they were.

The ESPN article is a great find, explains why Finneran is there really.
If EA Sports opened up a "Madden" Hall of Fame, Brian Finneran would be a first-ballot inductee. "We had to change the game because of him," says Moore. "We didn't want to be known as the game Brain Finneran dominated." The thing about Finneran was, not only did the game give him insane leaping ability via the Rocket Catch, but his character was significantly taller than any DB in the game, giving Vick the ability to throw the ball high, with Finneran making the grab every time in traffic. Adds Moore: "He had 90+ jump, plus he was so tall, it didn't matter how you tried to defend it, Finneran was coming down with that ball."

Odd choice, but I don't mind it, It probably is the first "what" moment in this team reveal. Could have gone Calvin Johnson, TO, Rice, or Fitzgerald.

Took me a moment to figure out this pick out, but that kind of put it into words why that pick was made.

Still would of had a version of TO over him but I can understand how Finneran was kind of like Mike Williams in NCAA 05.

did any of you guys even play Madden 04 haha. most of you probably don't know who Darrick Brown is if you don't know about Finneran.

# 18 BoCgrist @ 08/06/13 06:47 PM
Vick + Finneran = cheeserz football. Why play the game?

# 19 qdog @ 08/06/13 06:54 PM
are you serious Brian Finneran, over T.O, Harrison, Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson< Andre Johnson, Plaxico Burress when he was with pittsburgh, even though he was Slow he caught everything, Donald Driver in his prime, Jerry Rice, Issac Bruce and Tory Holt with the Greatest show on turf. Chad Johnson in his prime, Santonio Holmes, all these guys are light years ahead of Brian Finneran on the Game, WOW.

Got to be some politics going on here,

# 20 Loco @ 08/06/13 07:09 PM
you guys don't understand about Finneran in 04... It doesn't matter that there were receivers that were rated higher, or were much faster or could run after the catch way better. He was 6'5 you sent him deep threw a bomb and user turned him around and he would catch that **** 90% of the time.
