Your Turn Football News Post

Perhaps my personal most anticipated new mobile sports game has finally arrived on mobile app markets this week, with Your Turn Football launching on the App Store yesterday (the game is available in the Google Play store as well).

Your Turn Football is free to play, featuring a camera angle that reminds you of a classic era of sports gaming gone by and gameplay which delivers quite realistic results.

Games are played by players in a turn based format where you play your offense and pick your defensive strategy. Offensive gameplay is accomplished by forcing you to make the key decision during the play, be it when to pass the ball, when to make the key cut on the field, etc.

The game is built to be very accessible yet deep, as you choose your offensive strategy before each drive -- while your opponent picks a defense which is suited to defend each of the offensive options. In short, it's almost like playing rock-paper-scissors on a football field -- with realistic football results.

The game is free, and it comes as highly recommended -- especially for those sim-minded football fans looking for a fix on the go. You can download the game either in the App Store or on Google Play right now!

Doesnt seem like there is a single player mode.

I think I am about to give up on this one. I have 3 games going right now. Two are still in the 1st quarter and one is in the second quarter. My opponent in the second game has a god like team.

Pros:
- Some limited game play interactions and strategy.
- Plenty of setting and options for team management.
- Easy pick up and play.

Cons:
- Games against random opponents move slow. (Might be better if you have a friend to play against.)
- I can see a lot of unfinished games.
- No Single Player. This might be fun if I could just play again the AI when I want a quick Football fix.
- Micro Transactions.

I would probably go with Big Win football over this, but I do like that you can interact during game play. This might be a game to keep an eye on with some improvements.

my biggest annoyance with this right now is the number of games that have completely stalled for me. And the micro transactions. Not gonna pay $5 just so I have enough to change my uniform. Hopefully there will be some improvements at some point with an update, but I'm enjoying this so far.
