Here's a screen from a E3 video, of Cam in his white uniform, this screenshot is older than the one in the OP.

One could answer the question with four possible answers: "ps3," "360," "yes," or "no." If the answer to his question is "no," then he knows it's next gen.

In any case, it does look like they improved the Panther uniform, but I need to see what a Panther fan thinks. I don't think the lighting on the helmet is quite right though. It's close, but there is a more definite line between the bright spot and the dark spot in real life.

The logo on the helmet is too small and the helmet needs to be more metallic if I'm nitpicking...

I'm not saying the Cam Newton pic depicts bad graphics, but man after seeing next-gen screens (of Madden and other games) I feel like i'm looking at a ps2 screenshot.

This is how I feel playing Madden 13.

You can also see in the above comparison photo that the logo on the front of the helmet is still the old panthers logo rather than the new style font logo from last year in blue.

Yup, was going to mention that... good catch.

Let me ask you something, would it be that hard for them to just take the 2011 uniforms that are already in the game and slap the new logo and a swoosh on them? Is there some sort of technological barrier that is preventing them from doing that?

I ask because it seems like they are re-inventing the wheel, the 2011 uniforms are correct so why not just clone those and put a swoosh and the new logo on them?

I know it wouldn't be that easy due to how difficult the uniform platform was made on to begin with, swapping things out on helmets is simple but jerseys and pants are more difficult and sadly this poor template made the jump to next gen rather than something brand new.

That said it wouldn't even take a full day to make the jersey swap over.

This is what really irks me. The art team isn't working on game play. What else do they have to do before the game is finished? They need to fix these uniforms. All of them. Going by your time interval, one month by one person and every one of these uniforms are fixed. But they won't spare one single member of the art department to make the NFL video game look like the NFL...
