He's got a 99 accel, right? Markus Wheaton beat Thomas in the 100m this year and Wheaton only had a 92 speed with a 94 accel in the game.

How the hell is AJ McCarron ranked over Tajh boyd and Aaron Murry? And Watkins should be 98

Because he's better than both of them.

To give some stats on this argument:

AJ McCarron: 175.3 QB rating, 2933 yards, 30 TD, 3 INT, 4 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Tajh Boyd: 165.6 QB rating, 3896 yards, 36 TD, 13 INT, 514 rush yards, 10 rush TD
Aaron Murray: 174.8 QB rating, 3893 yards, 36 TD, 10 INT, -68 rush yards, 3 TD

Someone want to explain to me how De'Anthony Thomas, who is a good player but didn't perform up to expectations last year, is rated as high as Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel and Biletnikoff winner Marqise Lee?

How is AJ Mccaron equal to Manziel also for that matter?

I don't know how EA messes up the rankings every year, it should be pretty easy. The highest guys should be those that won the top awards at their position and made the all conference teams. Start with the Heisman/individual awards then comes the unanimous all-americans, consensus all-americans, all-americans and unanimous all-conference guys, etc. How is a guy like Thomas who didn't even make 2nd team all-conference in the Pac 12 tied as the 2nd highest ranked player in the game?

Looks like I'm going to have to do a lot of editing of the rankings as usual.

That's the bottom line because EA said so lol

Looking at WKU's top 10 players

FS #1 Jonathan Dowling 88 OVR(Andrews and Jackson should be better than Dowling, but this is about where Dowling should be rated)

MLB #4 Andrew Jackson 88 OVR(A decent rating, think he should be at least a 90 though)

RT #60 Ed Haselett 83 OVR(Probably a bit overrated, but not by much, I think Conway is better)

LOLB #13 Xavius Boyd 82 OVR

P #99 Hendrix Brakefield 81 OVR

C #65 Sean Conway 80 OVR

CB #22 Tyree Robinson 79 OVR

HB #5 Antonio Andrews 79 OVR(WHAT?, He only led the country in all-purpose yds last year, and was less than 100 yds in beating Barry Sanders's all-purpose yds record in one season, he should have been at least a high 80s or low 90s!!!)

K #56 Garrett Schwettman 79 OVR(Even at 79, this may be a little overrated)

SS #29 Kiante Young 79 OVR

Miller shouldn't be a 96. His accuracy rating should be in the low 80's at best. Devin Smith seems a little overrated too, as does Christian Bryant. I always have to redo the rosters anyway, so meh... this is nothing new.
How he's rated better than Philly Brown is way beyond me. Double the catches should tell you who OSU feels is clearly better. If I'm not mistaken didn't Smith have some catching issues later on in the year? Oh, what one amazing catch will do for your ratings in EA's eyes.

Really???? Oklahoma State is so off. #87 WR Tracy Moore is one of the best WRs in the BIG12 along with #5. smh at that one. Jeremy Smith will be good no doubt about it but the best player on the team eh ok fine.

^^^^this #5 is Josh Stewart and he's quicker than he is fast...i mean does EA even pay attention? do they scout at all? Where the hell are they getting this info from?

Of course the ratings are not accurate as EA is being sued currently for player likeness. C'mon people!

This is why I'm amazed by how angry people still get over it.

It's becoming a broken record as it happens ever year. I am getting to the point where I need to just stay off OS the week of E3 to avoid all the "what, John Doe is only a 79, are you kidding me?!?!?!" talk.

The only reason I complain about it is because I spend at least half of my time on NCAA playing ranked online games where you can't play with edited rosters. And also if EA wasn't trying to make an accurate roster I wouldn't care either, but it is obvious that they are. If you are going to go 95% of the way why not just go the full distance or not at all.

That's what I was thinking

It's like they are going 50/50. Just enough to keep us happy but not enough for people to use against them. But I mean for the most part they are not really fooling anybody because they do get the top players close to right.

But I guess if it means keeping the College football game around for many years to come I'm all for it

I honestly think we could avoid a lot of the controversy if EA allowed unranked online games with edited rosters allowed.

- If the game is unranked, you could easily quit if someone cheeses or has a jank roster.
-allow both users to preview the team roster they have both selected to validate it as a legit file. This would be done at the team selection menu.
-only friends on your list can be invited to a private match.
-allow modified sliders.

Imagine how nice this would be? say you have a few close buddies you want to play online without being in a dynasty, you can play friends with custom rosters, or historical files as well. I thought of this after spending a ton of time editing a roster, and wanted to be able to enjoy using all the teams opposed to one or a few in dynasty. If it's unranked, we should be able to use our own rosters in private matches.

i wouldnt blame the lawsuit specifically for inaccurate ratings as opposed to the other likeness details such as ht/wt bla bla bla. the rosters were bad even before the lawsuits. they hired a "roster guy" a few years back and talked him up in interviews and we still ended up with a crap roster.

maybe some of the ratings screwups are intentional, i dont know, but i doubt its going to help their case.
