Madden looks great IMO (at least in stills). It's looked quite a bit better and is smoother than NCAA on PS3 IMO.

Meh, whatever. Wake me up when we see some next-gen screenshots.

If only we could take screenshots in-game....

So now the helmet numbers are missing on the back of the colts helmets and the white part of their socks have still not been fixed.

To top it off there are numbers on the back of the 49ers helmets and there really shouldn't be.

I'm surprised the Colts socks weren't at least fixed. A whole dev cycle, and no one addressed it?

Whether current or next gen, the one thing that gives me pause about the Madden series going forward is a continued disregard for the fine details.

this stuff isn't a huge deal but the 9ers helmets still looking "flat tan" is really bad. I say it not a big deal BUT it really does let us all know that even though this is a NEW dev team and they are trying to turn this thing around, they are STILL not diving into the details. Unacceptable for me. The small details being on point is what separates a good game from a great game. These things shouldn't be happening at all, let alone happening year after year regardless of who the madden development team is. frustrating that they still don't get it. I hope it plays better

I won't notice numbers on helmets or how socks are suppose to look while playing the game. I guess it could be focused on now though. Not a big problem to me.

To be fair to the Colts socks, the real image showed Colts players wearing two different styles - some with all blue and some with half and half. I'm not going to blame EA for that as I don't expect them to have individual socks correct for every player.

It's not that Rudy -- in M13, ALL Colts players had no whites on their socks, which was a clear bug. Those that noticed assumed it would be fixed. The fact that it appears not to be corrected displays a certain disregard for getting the details right IMO.

Seems like they only care about the details when they have people there that hold them accountable, or if they're easy enough to fix. I swear these dudes just think everything is good enough and people just don't notice stuff and won't care, which is true in some cases, but that mind state shouldn't come from the devs. They should be trying to make the most authentic game possible. It's been a very strange culture over at tiburon this generation. I really wanna see how these guys spread their wings on next gen.

I see they still have that stupid diving animation smh

# 15 Skyboxer @ 06/08/13 02:05 AM
Actually they added a new diving animation from what we've been told.

Lighting makes it look so cartoonish smh. Sure numbers missing from the back of a helmet, but it just shows how much they don't pay attention to detail. They better bring it with next gen.

I don't get how you can have official licenses but fail to get jerseys right. Can't you be sued by a team if you represent them wrong? Like the whole debacle on the Bears away pants in M13?

That does seem very strange. At the same time I know in MLB the Show they get a uniform guide they have to adhere to. That guide sometimes has mistakes in it. They have to code the guide exactly so they know they bring mistakes in the game sometimes. Not saying that happened with Madden or not but it's possible.

Looks the same as last year, and the year before, and the year before.

Current gen screenshots just don't excite me anymore, I hope we get to see next gen at e3.
