Arron Lee is the Software Architect for the Madden NFL franchise, and has worked on every Madden NFL game since Madden NFL 09. He is now the Lead Senior Software Engineer and Software Architect for the Madden NFL franchise, and is responsible for creating the technology behind Madden’s ‘Connected Franchise’ mode.
He is a brave, brave man to say what his position is and give his real name.
Honestly, the article doesn't say much at all. The summary is: "we have new technology, it's better than it used to be."
Yeah, that article said very very very little. Maybe the way things used to work was so bad that it would be embarrassing to compare in a clear, specific way? Or maybe they just wanted to make sure nothing "boring and technical" was there to scare off people who probably don't want to read in the first place? No idea, but I wish there was more Madden info that was neither marketing hype nor vague claims of progress. Some more open communication would really help EA's image.
well i hope this dude is smart enough to check OS because we've posted so many things that transcend 'ideas' and 'suggestions' and are borderline doing their job for them.
some of the ideas of how actions connect to other actions within the mode and what they'd be based on are so simple and effective it's frankly appalling they haven't put them in for M25 already... Just code it with this new 'easy to use tech' and give everyone a deep mode that reflects the NFL properly.
How don't we have morale, fatigue and interviews for coach mode in the game yet?????
