The way I understand it, and I can be misunderstanding it, is if you relocate, the CPU may. If you don't, the CPU won't.

That's not correct, based on what I've read. The CPU will NEVER move a team. Only you, the user, can move a team.

I'm curious what the logo and color scheme will be for the London Black Knights??? Hmmm...

You can name the Mexico City team the Conqistadors. And here I thought a team name couldn't be worse for the original inhabitants of North America than the Redskins.

That's why I'm glad they have the option to keep the original name. Most teams don't change names when they relocate anyway.

If they made it exactly like they did in Madden 2004 people would be up in arms about that, too.

I'm not the biggest Madden supporter but jesus, they really can't win.

Give us the options to create and customize unis and stadiums...plus it wouldnt take much to add another 30 cities and teams names to the commentary bank.

What people aren't understanding is, they added more than just the commentators saying your new city and team name. There are specific lines of commentary tied to all 17 cities and new team names.

We have 3 different types of uniforms to choose from for each new city, all designed by Nike.

People say they don't want generic commentary, or generic uniforms. We get awesome commentary, and 3 different types of uniforms all made by Nike, and people still complain?? I really don't get it.

For me its more some of the cities....London, Dublin and Mexico City shouldn't be options, maybe in 10 years they will be viable...don't give a crap about Nike designing jerseys, just let the user do that. Also other than a couple names like the Oilers, no need to limit team names just to a city...if I want to make the Memphis Beats, should be able to. Also the fact that we cant move another team to a vacant city seems like poor foresight. If a team leaves St. Louis, perhaps a team would want to move there, but we can't do that

I'd be curious about how deep the lines of commentary about the city, I can't imagine it being more than a few lines, something that could be done for more cities...we will see how deep it goes though.

Sweet, they put in the name I was hoping for. Portland Lumberjacks.

And, as I said. From what I've read, my understanding is they won't move unless a human moves first.

Look at it this way... EA knows there are going to be on-line leagues that have say... 15-20 people playing in them, with the remaining teams being controlled by the CPU. They also know that a lot of people will play off-line either by their selves or with a few other people.

Now, if one person chose to relocate and the CPU then started moving teams all over the place, that would really zap the fun out of it since this was put back in for US... the people who buy and play the game. It wasn't put in for the CPU. And with only 17 cities to move to, it would be an act of total and complete ignorance to allow the CPU to move a team.

So... only HUMAN controlled teams will be allowed to move! Hopefully EA comes out at E3 or someone from there can chime in here and clear this up by stating the obvious - as well as confirm what has been written on a number of sites already.

You can bold all the words you want, it doesn't change the fact that I read somewhere on OS (and I'll post it when I find it) that CPU players moving teams was locked unless the Human moved a team first.

I understand what you're saying, but until it's actually confirmed, there's no point in arguing.

No worries, I'm not trying to argue with you, what I am trying to do is stop the mis-information from spreading. Just because someone posted on here that the CPU can and will move if you move, doesn't make it so.

I've read from several respected and informative sites that the CPU will never move. Hopefully you haven't taken this personal; it's not. Just trying to let people know what to expect. It would be nice if someone from EA would just jump in here and confirm this... it's not like it's a massive thing that they need to keep under wraps until the game releases...

Dr. Death is correct in what he's saying. I've seen it in a few of the developer interviews in fact that CPU teams will not move

i know texas is huge but really 3 of the 17 teams can go to texas? not to mention theres already 2 teams in texas as of now. im not actually mad i guess just wish there were more places that dont have teams now that you could move a team to play.

I wonder why OKC only got 2 names while everyone else got 3?

Also I hope 15 adds a lot more defunct teams like the Hartford Blues and the Frankford Yellow Jackets to go along with defunct football league names like the Boston Breakers of the USFL or the Hartford Colonials of the UFL or the Montreal Machine of the WLAF.

Instead of continuing a back and forth why not just post the link to end the discussion.

Apparently, the third name for OKC was something to do with tornadoes (I'm guessing Twisters) and EA felt like with the recent actual tornadoes in OK, they didn't want to upset anyone there.

I actually like the way they did this. Some of you guys are making it out like this stuff was just chosen at random. These cities were chosen because they are places that the NFL sees as viable options in the future. The names are actual names that either have been pitched or are the kinds of names that would be likely to be pitched after research. It is much more close to what actually happens than if as an owner you pick your own city, your own name, your own uniform. That doesn't happen. The NFL, the city, state, and investors have a lot of input into these decisions. If you are Bill Gates, with all the money in the world, you can't just buy a team move them where you want and call them the Fighting Gateses and dress them in Microsoft uniforms. The NFL has to approve the city, name and uniform. Nike has to design the uniform. The city has to allow you to move there. Its a complicated process and I like how EA is representing it here.
