  • Import draft classes from NCAA Football 14 into Madden NFL 25
  • Offline 32-team Control
  • Control player or coach in the same Connected Franchise
  • Goal to allow players as much control over their Franchise as possible
  • start a league with a Fantasy Draft Before you start your Franchise (online/offline)
  • Refined user interface, reworked the trade interface and added a transaction log
  • Added the ability to change your players’ positions (For example, move DB to WR, DE to LB)
  • More legends added
Quote:
On the presentation side, we’ve got a lot of exciting additions for your Franchise experience. Darren Rovell, Paul Lukas, and Mike Clay are just a few of the new names in sports media that will bring added depth to the News Center. Commentators will also fill you in on standings, season stats, last week’s game and more. In addition, experience all-new branching Draft story lines brought to life by Trey Wingo AND Adam Schefter.

Bro I'm a 23year Madden vet. I been through the bad and good of madden over the years. Of the 8years of Madden been on the current Gen console. I've owned 2 maddens out of these 8 years. Madden07 and Madden11 which I still play until this day. Because I have not like the last 2 maddens that have been out. But from those few seconds of footage I saw in the video today of Madden25. I feel like that this new crew is trying to get together. I feel that gameplay will be solid this year. It might not be perfect. But it will be solid. EA has gone as far as they can with this current engine on the current Gen. Hopefully next Gen they can make the running and blocking and other gameplay look better. But I believe that Madden25 for this year will look much better then it has in past few years. But I'm not going overboard yet. Still waiting until we get more video footage in the next few weeks from E3.

Yep, they sure did and after 6 months of playing before I traded it in, I never heard one word about a previous game. I'm assuming that they figured out that it was broke and fixed it or they're just doing like last year and selling us wolf tickets about the commentary. Either way, I'm not getting my hopes up about it.

Hoping they announce more about presentation and also if all these same features will be brought over to the next gen version.

I get it, they finally have a team of people that many here, and elsewhere, believe have a solid direction now. I hope those people are right, but when you hear the tone of some answers out of EA - and someone pointing out that they think certain EA people "booted" twitter followers for not agreeing with them - that gives me cause for doubt.

My general point is that "ok you have a good team finally" - so no more excuses, and at this point I am sure you, Madden veteran and all, can understand that patience is in short supply because EA "chose" to start all over this gen - 9 years to get back to square one is garbage, and I think of where sales might have been this generation had they actually built on to the foundation they had on PS2....

A typical EA oversight that I guess was to be expected.
In the past I believe they've had the button options rotate along the bottom, with it showing the "B" button for a few seconds, then showing what the "A" button does, etc.

Not saying that's the case here, but it might be. The fact that the top option is highlighted suggests that you can select it too.

looks very promising.
break down of stats, scores etc in a news-center format is promising. Hopefully its accompanied with some on screen graphics of the stats, leaderboards etc.; especially if the commentary will be generic.

All these changes hopefully the team at EA can pull this off without a whole lot of bugs etc

Cool stuff. Owner mode could be really fun if they worked it out right. You still get to be the coach and play games and manage all the rest.

Also cool imported draft classes are back. Only not sure ill use it. Kinda liked the draft classes from m13.

Now its time for the most importent part of the game
Gameplay!!

Yeah, if there's one thing that still makes me scratch my head about the upcoming Madden, it's why EA isn't making the most out of the ESPN license.

I never had the chance to own ESPN NFL 2K5 back in the day (maybe I should get a used copy on the cheap), but from the videos I've seen, the guys behind that game did the absolute best they could, putting Chris Berman in the studio and everything. It's almost like they KNEW this was going to be the last year of competition, so they decided to throw everything at it and go out with a bang.

But hey, that's just a nitpick for me.

I'm beginning to think that the ESPN thing is something that NCAA snatched up and said 'Hey, this is ours.' to have something that doesn't get overshadowed by the fact that it's in Madden as well. Madden hasn't advertised the ESPN license on the box since like Madden 09 but I don't know, just a thought.

The same needs to be done for the Draft. "We have a trade!" How about some details of the trade and who the team moved up to draft. All players names should be announced.......since they are created draft classes.

Connected Franchise - Should be able to get details on Player(s) signings, release, trades, re-signings (different than signing a street FA), Draft Trades (players & Picks), Coaches Firings, Signings, Promotions.

Also, Any Coaches or Front Office staff should have a name, not just "D. Scarborough!"

Blu-Ray Disc can handle all the info.

Should be able to go back and look at years past how my team was built through the years.

# 51 NDAlum @ 05/24/13 07:24 AM
Can't you just use LT to navigate to the other team traded with to see the details?

That right there really killed the immersion in madden 13
I brought this up on here a month ago and Chase responded saying they thought it was better and cooler to have SImms and Nantz talk about real life stuff during the game. and he then went on to say it was a bug that it repeats each year after that

You're right though it ruins the immersion for me as well. It all ruinsa the immersion when they talk about how Belichick and he isnt even the coach in the game. I wonder if they do the same for Schiano and the Bucs if you use a created coach.

I thought that but I've also realised EA always forget small things like that. They do the bare minimum on some of the ergonomics. I still don't understand why, when scrolling down a roster, the bar that features the heigher/weight/picture etc. follows the highlighting bar with it. It's almost impossible to judge where you are going down a list, especially in the Team stats. Its design issues like this that make me have no confidence on things like this.

The fact the top option is highlighted is just to show you where you are as you scroll down, there are numerous highlighted, unselectable lists in M13.

Yup, its like, ok, we have a trade! Great news! Who gave up what? Is it a good move? Why did the Giants trade up only 2 spots? Why are teams trading so far up/so far down? Why are teams trading so few spots? Is it because they can get value?

LET ME KNOW.

Its really annoying because it seems they only dedicate one tweet to each action. 'So-and-So got drafted by the Panthers' - Schefter.
They're very unspecific and general. Why not have someone like Rich Eisen say: "Star Lotulelei drafted by Panthers" then have another tweet from Schefter saying "Panthers traded back 5 spots for an extra 2nd rounder to pick here" etc.

They have like 3 tweets form multiple people when players come out of retirement and plenty of things, but the things that actually need the analysis, such as re-signings, FA signings, trades, cuts, etc. that have many levels to them are only given one tweet.

Lets have all the relevant info broken down into separate tweets - as well as being visible and more in depth on the transaction log.

"Rams sign LT Jake Long." - Mortreport
"Rams give LT Long a 4 year deal, 30 mil/15 gtd" - Schefter
"Bad move by Rams, Long is not getting younger" - Bayless
"Long expected to become starter at LT" - Trey Wingo

Etc. etc.

Obviously this sort of in depth 'analysis' on the twitter would be reserved for big name/high OVR/prestige players but the same key info on numbers in the contract etc. should be visible in the transaction log - AT THE BARE MINIMUM

Nice! Some simple, realistic touches like this can add a lot to immersion and also make the game more playable by putting more info in an easy place. The next step would be a tweet about someone else getting cut, demanding a trade, or having to move to RT to make room for Long. A more advanced system could refer to earlier transactions, like a player who retired or was released before Long signed on. After all, there's a transaction log!

Along the same lines, I miss the emails from players, agents, and so on that we had back in the PS2 years. They added a sense of drama to the everyday decisions for the team and a sense of involvement in the game. You could find out some of that by manually searching a few different screens, but the emails were always a great starting point. If CFM develops well and has more decisions to make and more nuances, maybe those will make a return too.

Come on man. 2K does better than any other game at going in detail and using context and stat overlays to add with its commentary. Even in later years of association they will mention how your team/players are doing in free throw shooting and compare if its better/worse than the previous season. That's not generic, that's immersive.

Personally I've been crying for years about how bad Madden's commentary has been. It improved last year but still lacks that polish that games like 2K and FIFA have in the audio department.

Does anyone know if they added back coaching scheme like the 0-100 pass to run slider etc?

please add this back

it is frustrating watching teams like the patriots and packers run the ball for an entire game

Madden needs to make players for player mode be able to play on the same teams online . (Example ) I hve an Xbox and my brother has an Xbox In the same house same room and we want to be able to be on the same team as superstar mode !

I just found this by trying different jpg links for the CFM blogs on EA's site, I was thinking Steve Young wasn't a legend last year, just realized he was. Oh well, still a new screenshot

Sweet, the legends are still in. Loved playing as Otto Graham.

Maybe they'll have Slingin' Sammy Baugh in this year.

...What? I like playing out what-if scenarios like that.

Besides, how many players have four touchdown passes and four interceptions in the same game?

Wait, you thought he THREW four interceptions?

I meant he CAUGHT four interceptions.
