Madden NFL 25 News Post

An exclusive Gamestop Madden NFL 25 pre-order graphic for 49ers fans might've just given away that some sort of 'Owner's Mode' will be included within Connected Franchise. In the graphic, former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr. is listed as a playable character in connected franchise only.

What do you think this means for the Connected Franchise mode?

I liked fan appreciation days from PS2 days, was a cool way to off set the crappy team coming to town - also was nice to run up score on CPU in those games...

I hope they tone down some of the "upgrades" as in no "teleportation devices" or some of the other crap they had last time around and that they actually have some impact on things
- upgrading facilities should impact FA's view of your team (slightly but an increase), medical facilities perhaps increase TGH rating or slightly increases injury ratings and so forth.

Five Star restaurants or pubs should generate money in offseason (Curly's Pub at Lambeau Field) and when it comes to naming rights -

give us some cool and recognizable companies - Dr Pepper Dome, State Farm Field, Coca-cola Colosseum. Don't give us crap companies that we never heard of and the -

contracts should be realistic - ie you own team/stadium you get money for naming rights, with bonuses or kickers for playoff games and SB appearances, plus extra for "hosting SBs"...

Side note, it would be cool if certain players (even created/drafted players) were tracked in terms of "jersey sales".

Well, they would have to get the rights for Dr. Pepper and such to have their names in the game, but yeah, when I played Madden 09 for the Wii, the Owner Mode was there and it was fun, except when randomly playing other teams you would have Candlestick Park become Auto Care Stadium. They have Papa Johns in the game and they have gotten ads from NCAA in their intros. It would be cool to see real ads around stadiums, so it makes it feel more real. It becomes a minor annoyance when I keep seeing the same fake ads and stuff, but oh well.

Yeah, the facilities should help bring in FA, similar to how you can upgrade your coach to get better FA in Madden 13(still hate upgrade ideas for players, but that is besides the point)

I understand what you are saying about trademarks, names and that but if I am the CEO of a company I would let EA use those for free, especially if my target market is even remotely close to Madden's customer base - think of the exposure potential of being in millions of homes for free...

Yep, but knowing how business exec's they will want composition for having their trademark in the game. I would have the same idea as you, because it's basically "free advertising," but some exec's will think it's because their sponsorship brought in people. Hell, look at Nintendo supposedly might crack down on Let's Plays and other stuff on Youtube because they believe it's their game bringing in the views, not the person playing the game/providing commentary. It's stupid, but I would love to see trademarks and stuff in the game.

just got excited, lets hope they dont forget the football aspect of the game with all the other stuff they have going on with madden, and i say this because EA is notorious for doing that kind of thing
