You will find in the NCAA Football 14 Presentation Fist Look Official Trailer this year that NCAA Football 14 will bring the atmosphere and intensity of college football Saturday to fans utilizing additions to on-field presentation and a renewed emphasis on the story of each game. Over 500 new on-field vignettes, as well as new on-field player chatter, put fans right in the midst of the action, and evolving insights on key players and drive summaries provide deeper, richer context to each game than ever before.
NBA2k was the first to implement this if I am not mistaken.
As for the trailer - it's looking/sounding good, but it would be nice to see some actual gameplay video.
Also, couldn't help but notice the difference in the fans in the stands between the two videos. The Show and NBA 2K seem to have much more detailed/interactive crowds than either EA football game.
lol the ACC sucks, but the conference would be on suicide watch if a team leaving the conference was about to win the damned thing, while Clemson and FSU struggle to be bowl eligible.
I hope they fixed the simulation results, cuz there were far too many upsets last year, with most of the top teams losing to celler dwellers and totally throwing off the top 10.
I have to shake my head at this.
NOOOOOOO, EA. No. Just...no. When we say we want a graphic that compares the teams, we don't mean showing their video game attributes. Sigh. I hope there is time to just completely get RID of that screen. The look of it is fine, but replace those numbers with win/loss record, offense/defense statistical rankings, injuries, head coaches, etc etc. And if that is a play now game, then use records from the past year or something.
Jeeze. Even a "A+" is better than using an actual number.
I also hope that all of the new presentation overlays aren't full screen like that. It's cool before the game and from time to time during the game/after the half, but a lot of the overlays in real life are smaller and actually shown during the action on the field.
A lot of these new overlays look like you can accidentally miss them because you're mashing x to get to the next play.
...which brings me to my next point, and another disappointment, being the cutscene celebrations. It's so awesome watching the celebrations of 2k because they happen in real time, and the replays of the celebrations are authentic to broadcast, but these NCAA cutscene celebrations are still so generic looking. Doesn't matter how many new ones you add. They all look "the same", which is, unnatural and video gamey.
I'm loving neutral site games. Finally. I'm hoping they can be scheduled at will. I might try some funky stuff like making ND vs FSU an annual neutral site game somewhere.
I was thinking the same thing with the number attributes for Offense/Defense/Overall. The only big eye sore from the trailer. You would think that they could give us something a little more lifelike.
I think cutscenes also lack life because they usually occur with dead-air. Monotone crowd. No commentary. And cutscene animations look boring.
Not at all like on NBA2k where the announcing team will cut off what they are saying to drool over a big play, commenting on it while the real time celebrations play out.

I dream of the day when players interact with the sidelines after a big play.
I am so freaking pumped that we FINALLY got Neutral Site games. THANK YOU EA!
Now, with that said, I wonder how the intros are going to work in neutral site games. Will they show a highlight package for each team, or just the "home" team? I hope they hype up the neutral site and that they actually DISCUSS the fact that it is a neutral site game, and not talk about it like it is a home game. I am just excited that when I start my dynasty that I get Bama at the Georgia dome. Gonna be a heck of a way to start!

I agree with this. Cut scenes and replays should be tied into commentary.
Who wants to watch a post play replay with silence or the play-by-play finishing up from when it was live. It should have the color guy giving his breakdown of the play.
I rewatched the video. I know its just a trailer which should just show snippets of things, but if I was really proud of something I would of included some longer segments to show how it actually looks or works As I have said in other threads it looks good on paper but its all about the implementation.
looks interesting but still way behind i believe...the halftime show i like but if it doesnt have any highlights of the game and a post game show with highlights from the game than its worthless. same with a weekly show with highlights from every game and top plays as well. its amazing how this has not even happened yet.
Why is taking EA so long to get this right? Every year one element gets a little better, while the other takes steps back. It's like the gameplay and presentation are two magnets trying to come together.
With the introduction of Reese Davis last year, it should have been where it is now. Why must we continue to get half finished features year after year. I bet I could grab three other members of this site and say, let's come up with a Reese Davis segment and it would blow EA's away (ideal wise).
I wonder what chatter those poor defensive players are gonna scream while they're getting steamed rolled by the running backs lol
