NCAA Football 14 News Post

For too long, the NCAA Football series has been completely stale on the presentation front, with cutscenes that have been around for years now mixed with presentation elements that seem to be thrown together with no real rhyme or reason. That plus the incredibly drawn out game intros mixed with very little game awareness logic from the commentators of how games were unfolding just made for a relatively stale and souless experience.

This year, EA hopes to change all of that with new and targeted presentation additions and changes.

As far as these presentation adds and cam angles great news, but what took so long? Multiple cams should have been in this game yrs ago. I've had that choice ever since I started playing FIFA current gen. I always use the co-op cam because I can see the whole field. One good thing is they won't be able to blame the next gen hardware for any lack of ingenuity and innovation. It's put up or shut up summer 2014 or 15.
Thanks for letting me know all of this so I don't need to play the game...I mean of course we know this is how its going to be considering IT'S FRIGGIN APRIL....

Jesus, let's get a grip here people...I swear, some of you are NEVER going to be satisfied lol. The hysteria on here about this game every year is almost laughable. CHILL OUT and see how the FINISHED product turns out...

As far as the presentation goes, looks solid so far...love the stat overlays and neutral site games? Oh yes.

They mention that we can expect all the newest jerseys/base layers, but we can also expect updates throughout the season. Do they mention if these will be free updates or will they charge us for new jerseys?

I would assume since they did it in NCAA 13, they'll also do it in NCAA 14.. although, don't look for too many free updates.

I'm looking forward to this game for the first time in a long time. I'm finally hearing things that I thought should've been in years ago. I hope new jerseys don't cost extra, I'm sick of the whole DLC thing, me paying $65 should be more than enough...

on that note, I would love to see the new Carolina jerseys that were announced last week or the week before.

Really? NCAA 11 was one of the better releases I've seen for the NCAA series and after Madden 2005, probably my favorite EA Sports football game release. Have been disappointed with NCAA 12/13 from a cheesy features standpoint, but the improvements to the single player experience were nice. Hoping to see more gameplay improvements and more single player updates/changes to make for a more immersive experience, and less bugs than were in 13 (buggiest release I've played in awhile from NCAA series).

So to improve presentation they removed most of it? Fantastic!

It's going to be called coordinator cam, everyone here needs to read the thread titled

Are they ever going to update the helmets and face masks? Or will we be playing with the same old out of date crap they recycle every year. They add 1 or 2 face mask a year and have another half a dozen that are out of date or designed incorrectly (i.e. DNA 4 and most of the Revolution face masks). As a football fanatic I can't help but notice these inconsistencies and it becomes an eye sore when they keep leaving stuff out and leaving the same recycled and out of date stuff that's there every year.

All I want to know will they bring back the export function! All the upgrades are nice but if you can export players to Madden 25 where is the fun?!
