I was hoping to read that they decided to focus on defending...

Same here...smh. That was what I felt this game was missing-some solid defending AI, but I guess EA doesn't think so.

Watch the video. They discussed improvements to the defending as well as AI support. More specifically that your teammates will mark tighter...sounded good to me..

I want teams to play differently from other teams, ie: tfc and barcelona

When you do a review later on near the game, please let me know if your team can actually score in career mode, without you having to score every goal.

So no new-gen game or game engine from the sounds of it, just "Same as the last few years but you should see all the super new stuff we added!"

Ahh. I didn't watch the video since I was only looking at the article via OS's Twitter. Thanks for clarifying, sounds good

The Eurogamer article gives a link to their full preview and is well worth reading. They usually know what they're talking about when it comes to Fifa games.

They need to make it look like this - out of the box; and tweak from there.

- Slower build ups that actually matter
- Pace of play
- Defending with aggression
- Clearances that do not stick to a player (make the ball a separate entity)

Like I said in other thread. Even quicker dribble turns? lol wut

It's a deal breaker for me if the defense isn't significantly improved, and as someone mentioned earlier, there has to be some sort of diversity felt between the different play styles. Oh yeah, and for the love of god, can we get a decent replay system that shows more than 3 replays a game? PES 2014 is going to be really, really good. I just don't see Fifa winning me back at this point.

While of course the defending and tactics are big issues that need fixing, one easy add I always wish for is the ability to edit/expand your park in career. There is nothing more annoying than promoting a lower league club and still have them in a tiny stadium. You should be able to save funds and build new stands in the off-season. Super easy and would add so much to me. Also just being able to build your own stadium from the start instead of all the generics would be good too.

Why not switch to a larger stadium before starting your career?

He means throughout the career, getting promoted a few times, then having the ability to upgrade the stadium and so forth.

Sure, it would be great to have a number of additional features. But if it bothers him that his team is still playing in a small stadium after being promoted to the top tier, then the easy and simple solution is to switch to a larger stadium before starting his career. Me, I don't see that as an issue. How many real-life clubs automatically build new and bigger stadiums after they're promoted? Doesn't happen.

Still dont think you understand. For realism you start with the small stadium you have. 10 years down the line, if you have turned your team into a title contender in the premier league, then I assume your no longer playing in a 5000 person stadium. This is when you should be able to upgrade or build a new stadium for your club.

Your not going to assume you will be a giant club and choose a 75,000 person stadium in league 2 lol
