Justin Upton was traded on January 20th, which is too late to add more commentary, I think.

I heard MLB 2k13 has good commentary. You should try that game out and let us know how much fun you have.

Again, criticism does not automatically mean the game is bad or that people hate it. It is annoying to not be able to give anything constructive without someone getting defensive and telling you to go play something else. The commentary is not satisfactory, plain and simple. However, the game is so good in every other aspect it makes it unimportant to me.

Next year the commentating NEEDS to be improved. But even if it isn't, I will still helplessly be in the clutches of SCEA San Diego. (I was going to add in a special smiley to show that I don't mind this fact, but I am doing a comment and don't have the option).

Last year was weird though, because I heard commentary about Hanley Ramirez moving to 3rd base but it not working out and eventually getting traded after the Dodgers trade.

It's not predetermined.
If you make it to a certain area one of the animations will kick in.
If you don't know that by now...and don't understand that the devs want the game that way...then you're just fooling yourself.

Just curious though...what do you expect to see that much different in regards to gameplay?

One of the big problems for commentary this year is that Steve Lyons and Eric Karros have the same tone, pitch, and inflection in their voice. They're hard to tell apart. Another problem is that yanking all of Campbell's commentary has left a lot of dead space. I've defended SCEA because I know it's hard to get real guys to sit down and do the commentary, but it's getting to the point where it's unacceptable. Of course, I have my opinions on what they should do, but I'd really like to see them use another format for the PS4.

Did anybody else see the +245 XP at the bottom? Has there been any talk about the whole combined profile yet?

You bet it is...
...and I don't care if guys don't like the game or the gameplay...have at it.

But if you're going to say it's '12 with a roster update...that's just laughable.

This year's version is the biggest jump from one year to another in so many areas that it's not even close.

Everyone can have their own opinions....but not everyone can have their own facts....

It still pains me to see Justin Upton in a brave uniform, I love how we are going against all the saber metrics as the diamondbacks with grit and hustle but I still dont like giving up on a 24 year old with all 5 tools and a ton of potential
