I agree he is probably the cheesiest player in this game the last thing they need to do is increase his offensive abilities even more.

Melo defensive stats are just fine. Hes unstoppable in this game as it is.

Once more - OVERAL MEANS NOTHING

Does 2K hate the Suns? Seriously, Alvin Gentry over a month ago and they still haven't updated it. lol.

Larry Sanders needs a new update, as well.

Melo should be 92-93, defensive stats need to go up dude is currently 79 overall defense and a 90 offense, in perspective Bosh has a higher offensive rating than Melo

increase his inside/close/mid/layup please

honestly don't understand how Kobe is a 95 while Melo was actually a 92 at game release and has played the way he has only to be downgraded

and obviously Tony parker is due for an upgrade
THISSSSSSSSS. Melo is long overdue for his 92 rating back, and tony parker should easily be the highest rated player on the spurs. Hes shooting 53 percent as a pg. Melo doesn't really need any offensive boosts though. He could use slight bumps in his hustle, ball security(it is 73 when he averages less turnovers then lebron and kobe who have 90 plus), defensive awareness.,POST DEFENSE(kobe has a higher post defense than him. makes no sense), consistency(broke franchise record for most consecutive 20 point games at 31 straight). If anything on offense it should maybe be a slight bump in mid range since westbrooks is an 88. with those upgrades he should be a 92 again

2K should not bring up Carmelo's inside/close/layup he is a terrible finisher around the rim. I think Melo's three ball and midrange should both be at 88. His low post D needs to be increased, this is the only aspect of D where Melo thrives. His ball handling also needs to be brought up, he has smooth handles and is only averaging 2.7 TO's game, despite having a very high usage rate.

Why is Kyrie an 89? Come on, he killed at All-Star weekend and he is having a solid year but he isn't better than Tony Parker who is a legit MVP candidate. Kyrie is still one of the worst defenders in the league, he's also an average passer.
2K has to add Patrick Beverley, with Toney Douglas traded he'll be the full time back-up PG. I hope he isn't a generic player, his cyber face was in 2K11.

I wouldnt say he is a TERRIBLE finisher around the rim. only for the fact that he most of the time tries to initiate contact like many of superstars do. for whatever reason(maybe for not flopping and always playing bully ball) he doesnt get these calls which results in terrible looking shot attempts. I aree with everything else though with his hustle and other stats. Patrtick Beverly is receiving no love for whatever reason and Kyrie is receiving TOO much love. It took Rondo how long to get his deserved 89 rating? kyrie did it in one weekend smh

As a Knicks fan I know about Carmelo's inefficiency at the rim. He just can't finish through contact, and isn't very athletic or acrobatic so he can't avoid contact. Carmelo shoots 49% on lay ups, KD shoots 62%, Kobe shoots 65%, LeBron shoots 72% on layups. Although he isnt terrible he doesn't deserve to have a shot inside 90+.

They need to do something about Melo's 3s...it's just too much. Nobody is that accurate.

He makes Ray Allen look like Shaq or Chuck Hayes in this game.

melo's 40 percent 3 point shooting while averaging almost 7 three point attempts a game says otherwise.....plus he has hot spots on the three point line.

i also believe KD and Kobe shoot more freethrows than him. Not saying he makes more lay ups than them. just saying that those stats dont exactly show the whole story. Also all 3 have a tendency to ACT when receiving contact going to the lane. Melo takes contact then yells at the ref. as a knicks fan i feel he should flail more. kind of like KD, and kobe do.

They must have laid off the guy that updates the courts. We haven't seen an update since what? October? It's ridiculous. I know not many people use the Sixers so they often go unnoticed, but the navy blue paint is so obnoxious...for the second straight year.

This! If his offence is an A then his defence is a D or F. He's pretty horrible.

I'm pretty sure Lindsey Hunter's CFID (face) isn't on the disk and they can't add it in. Which is why all late added players no matter how good have a created player for them. (Shved, PJ Tucker, Prigioni, etc)

then why did kobe receive two updates? and his team still isnt over .500? or why would kyrie ever get raised? according to this theory....

Because he plays for the Celtics. If he were at Orlando or other bottom sides he wouldn't be touched l.

According to that theory Melo plays like himself. It's not all about OVR

Who says anything about Kobe or Kyrie? Kobe didn't need a raise either.

And Because a guys team sucks he should never get a boost?

# 40 Vni @ 02/23/13 08:19 AM
I can't figure out why would people want 2K to overrate their favourite player. When a player is overrated I feel like I can't use him anymore. You should want him to play like his real life counterpart does and not like the king of cheese.

How can people asks a boost for Melo lol. It's beyond me.

It's good that 2K games last only for a year because otherwise about time every players would be 90+ because of people asking for boosts.
