EA SPORTS MADDEN NFL CORRECTLY PREDICTS THREE POINT
BALTIMORE VICTORY OVER SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Madden NFL has correctly predicted eight out of the last 10 Super Bowl Champions

With the Baltimore Ravens 34-31 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, the official Madden NFL Super Bowl prediction correctly predicted the exact point difference in the game and has now correctly predicted the winner of eight of the last 10 Super Bowls. The Madden NFL Super Bowl prediction, which was run using Madden NFL 13, also correctly forecasted Joe Flacco as MVP of the game.

The Madden NFL XLVII Super Bowl prediction also was correct in predicting touchdowns for Anquan Boldin and Frank Gore and was nearly perfect in predicting Colin Kaepernick’s stat line, with the prediction forecasting 18 completions, 29 attempts, a TD and interception; with Kaepernick falling two completions and one attempt short of that exact total. In addition, the Madden NFL prediction also correctly forecasted an Ed Reed interception of Kaepernick as the only interception in the game.

Madden NFL Super Bowl predictions are incredibly accurate due to the game’s authentic gameplay, the development team’s unparalleled access to NFL resources and its prominent place in NFL culture. Because of these factors, over the past 25 years, Madden NFL has become known as the 33rd franchise.

On Friday, Electronic Arts officially announced Madden NFL 25, launching on August 27. This year's game will feature the Madden NFL 25 name when it launches in August, plus a new fan Cover Vote in partnership with ESPN that will pit the NFL's greatest legends against today's biggest stars. What sliders are they using to make these predictions? I'm dying to know.

That's the law of large numbers, perform the same experiment a large number of times and you're gonna get the results you would like sooner or later. Nothing to do with madden's gameplay, let alone authentic.

It's amazing how accurate these Madden Simulations are. They even got it right, that there was no defensive holding or pass interference which robbed the 49ers the game. Seems like the NFL is stopping to make these calls until Madden is able to call them.
Seems like good relationship.

While I did LOL at this: "Madden NFL Super Bowl predictions are incredibly accurate due to the game’s authentic gameplay". I must say that this year playoffs was very Madden like. There have been several moments that would irritate me in a video game, even if it went in my favor. Denver's prevent defense (or lack there of). A road team coming back from a 17 point deficit against the top seed if the NFC championship. A team blowing out the opponent 28-6 in the SB, then suddenly going cold allowing for a last minute game deciding goal line stance. Not to mention that whole Seattle/Atlanta fiasco.

It wouldn't have been a correct point total except for a fluke safety. So that argument that "madden is realistic because of the point different" is hilarious this year especially. And did Madden correctly sim the missed PI call in the end zone? I guess so since it's so impossible to get PI called in the first place.

That realistic comment made me immediately do a double take. Lol this had to be written by someone who deals directly with Madden or EA. Stevie Wonder could see through that madness.

Great job at parsing words and not understanding a marketing stance.

Now where are all those people who claim the game "never claimed to be simulation" and "it's just a video game".

We can sit back and laugh all we want, bottom line the reason this game continues to devolve is that is what EA truly feels is product is.

Madden NFL Super Bowl predictions are incredibly accurate due to the game’s authentic gameplay, the development team’s unparalleled access to NFL resources and its prominent place in NFL culture.

I don't care what aspect of the game is being discussed or how small the nuance or detail this should serve as the response.

There is a 7 page debate on the XP system and players changing positon with valid arguments on each side. While its fanbase argues over a excluded options impact on the game, EA touts to the masses how "incredibly accurate" and "authentic" it's game is.

You tell me who has lost touch and is taking it too serious, consumer or company.

You know whats even stranger?

The last 4 teams to play the Eagles in their home opener in Philadelphia have all went on to win the Superbowl.

The text of the original post is a direct copy-paste from EA Sports' Madden NFL website. So yes, the writing here is "biased towards Madden" because it came from the horse's mouth, so-to-speak.

You notice a few months ago that all Operation Sports members were warned by admin to stop badmouthing EA under the threat of being banned?

Hmmmm, I woder why that was? Maybe they are in EA's pocket. They consistently give extremely high ratings to EA games, but then you read actual costmer comments about the game & find out about all the glitches & problems.
The rule was implemented after the Madden NFL 10 development cycle - during its release and support phase. This was a time when Ian Cummings, Phil Frazier, Donny Moore, etc. were regular posters on this forum, and there was an unprecedented level of interaction between developers and fans without any middle-man PR guy, blog editor, or whatnot mediating the conversation. Madden NFL 10, though a tremendous step forward for the series, wasn't a perfect game, and many voiced constructive criticism about it. However, there were also those who voiced their opinions of the game less constructively, instead posting far more negative thoughts about the game, the staff who made it, EA Sports, and so on. The sheer volume of personal attacks, slanders, and blasphemies about the game and towards the developers themselves frankly were uncalled for, and it rightly drove away every one of the EA Sports developers who posted here. Few of the OS posters who were targeted by the new rule prohibiting attacks on developers exhibited any decency, restraint, or ability to voice any criticism of the game in a constructive and useful manner, and they deserved the punishments handed to them. The policy is not unreasonable as a one-strike policy keeps the boards clean from trouble. The rules of OS are further easy to abide by; I've been here since 2002 without issue.

Related, EA Sports isn't in the pocket of Operation Sports. This accusation has come up since the NFL 2K days, and it's been denied every time. The two have an obvious working relationship - EA Sports provides exclusive video game media to Operation Sports such as news, previews, screenshots, videos, and review build access in exchange for publishing of that information to the site, which drives web traffic and ergo advertising revenue to Operation Sports. Consequently, the content posted provides word-of-mouth advertising for the EA Sports product in question. It's never been a direct monetary relationship, however. Why would EA Sports give OS any monetary support whatsoever when the company has its own website and forum to drive traffic to?

I find it amazing how people come to an article to bad mouth it every single time it pops up. Is Madden so Authentic that it can figure out play by play, score by score, minute by minute action down to a T? NO!!

But it says something when Madden has correctly predicted 8 of the last 10 Superbowl champions and have gotten pretty close on the score....can any other game say that? So I guess next you will say that EA and the Madden developers are apart of the Illuminati or they own all the Sports Media outlets and the NFL so they can dictate the game how they want..?
You know how you get corporations to change? Ignore them. But I forgot this is the internet where every opinion is fact and everybody is an expert. LMAO!!!

You get warned for bad mouthing ANY GAME COMPANY Not just EA, I've seen people bad mouth 2K Sports and get banned.

I really don't care about how "accurate" Madden, they got 8 out of the last 10 Super Bowls right, congrats. I actually try to have fun with the game. Funny thing about Super Bowl predictions: I've gotten 6 of the last 7 Super Bowls right.

See its posts like this that create nothing but arguments because uniformed people come in and pass judgement and assessments on others.

You never took a moment to read the actual article being referenced.

You instead responded what with what you thought would be an outlandish claim that Madden wouldn't claim to figure out play, score and minute to minute game action. You backed that up with supporting no other game could make such claims.

The closing remarks about everybody on the internet being an expert and opionon is pure gold. You wrote a sarcastic post directed at degrading others giving the impression we think what we say is fact and are all experts.

Then again, this being the Internet I suppose you can say whatever you wish and not expect to be called out on being uniformed.

This is what was said by EA

Going deeper, the video below also foretold touchdowns for Anquan Boldin and Frank Gore, and was nearly perfect in predicting Colin Kaepernick’s stat line. Kaep went 16-28 with one touchdown and a pick in Super Bowl XLVII, just two incompletions and one pass attempt short of the predicted total. In addition, the simulation also correctly included an Ed Reed interception as the only pick in the game.

So what you felt was so outlandish was actually what they did.

What they do is simulate it like a 100x and keep all stats and scores, and then AFTER the Super Bowl, post the one that predicts both the winner and stats and come brag about it, and tell casual fans who don't play Madden (or the ones who don't play sim) "hey our game predicted the SB champion cause its... "realistic" our game is super! You should buy it"

You notice there wasn't a post about this before the Super Bowl right? If there was whoopty-doo for Madden.

SMH.....first dude you have absolutely no idea what I was referencing you come attacking my post and calling me uniformed yet you have absolutely no idea at all. You just saw a post you felt like you could pick out and pick on yet you look fairly ******** for doing so. My post was not bashing Madden my post was in response to some people saying "Well Madden didn't call this play and Madden didn't call this play" I hate to sound like a jerk but reading is fundamental sir.

My post was in no way directed directly at Madden it was directed at people who just want to bad mouth Madden and EA Sports because the game isn't up to THEIR standards. Dude get a clue next time or how bout this STFU and keep your comments to yourself.
