This is what the silhouette bat looks like.
You can still see the bat and it allows you to see the ball.
I think this move was unnecessary but obviously someone thought it was important enough.

Was hoping to hear that you would be able to import logos from last year. I can't find any info on this, has it been mentioned at all yet?

Also the silhouette looks pretty good, it was a huge problem last year as anything inside you couldn't see at all. I never brought the bat back because of this. I just took my chances if it was going to be a strike.

With certain hitting cams the bat blocks the ball more then others. Most likely a reason for the direction of the silhouette. We can ask if it can get toggled but most likely it will not happen for 13.

The pic about is pretty much my view. Maybe a little more zoom in.
But whatever, Im not complaining. I personally dont care either way.
A toggle would have been good, but for whatever reason its not there.
We'll still live.

I'm digging the new PCI "arcs"... much less obtrusive. I sturbbornly played with the PCI off most of the time because I didn't care for the design (even when it was a plain circle). However, I'm a better hitter with it on, so this is nice little addition that could make a big difference for me. Plus, aren't there a few more PCI options as well?

Its funny I absolutely struggle with the PCI on. Can't hit with it to save my life.

To answer your question there are a few styles to choose from.

Yeah I really like the PCI as I see it, but then Ive always played with PCI on so the old way was fine with me too.

I like the bunting change and the bat becoming transparent as I had a hard time pulling back my bunt on bad pitches that were way out of the zone since i was not able to see the path the ball was taking. I am glad to see this in the game!

Can't wait to see where all this video game technology is headed 10 years from now.
I'm imagining some crazy, new, souped up PS Move Integrated/Virtual Reality/3D-HD/Fully Photo-Realistic Graphics beast of a game with dozens of fully customizable modes and options, all beaming in through a computer chip attached to your ear.
God I can't wait!

I bet people would still be complaining about how Prince Fielder, Jr.'s batting stance looks nothing at all like IRL... but the retractable wife would make it in by then.

I noticed the players were wearing the actual created jerseys instead of the generic MLB The Show ones when editing their equipment. Was this in the game last year? I didnt play any DD in 12, but I'm hoping the actual jerseys are shown in all modes when editing equipment this year

Pumped about this game. thanks for posting the video. 2 questions...

1. if we're playing DD against CPU teams, will we be able to use our own sliders this year?

2. does the IF seem to be too far in at 1:09 of the play? runner on first...double play depth should be the call which is closer to the cut.

anyway...so excited.

DD was and still is a create your own team, complete with create your own, Name, Logo, City and Uni's.

I have a hard time moving the PCI quickly enough before I swing. Having it on-screen seems to help me move it a little quicker. I wish the window to move it before it locks was just a split-second longer. My thumb ends up in the right place, but that darn PCI barely budges.

Also, if you saw them, can you describe the other PCI options?

I saw so many of them I do not know which ones made the final cut. I will follow up next week!

I noticed they fixed the marlins park green walls. Good stuff!

Haven't played to much DD, and with all the franchise improvements and myself being a franchise guy, will probably still spend more time on that. But maybe I will give DD a try.

Love the new bunting system, that was a huge complaint of mine.

And I was wondering, in terms of a limit on certain attributes for players, will this be included in RTTS, and Franchise mode for that matter? One of my biggest problems with RTTS was being able to have a 6'6, 280 pounder and being able to make him as fast as Michael Bourn.
